I have to say my titans are usually shooty configs as well, but CC weapons are undoubtedly cool.

Run away! Run away! L-4 will soon be after you!  :;):  :p

The heads - the one seen from the side in the lower centre of the first pic is SPLENDID! Go do it!

I'm still hanging in there for my squashed egg concept. :D

I'll glue an egg in when it's done and then you can see what it's like!

Sorry for the long period of no updates, the drawings have been on holiday to nottingham. I'll post a photo of the head's beginnings tomorrow. Here's the heads latest sketch, about a week old now.

Overall I like the concept very much. However I think a distinguishing feature of the Warlord titan is the slightly more hunamoid head compared to the other titan variants (this holds true for every version of the Warlord ever produced). As it is right now, the head still looks a bit too much like a Warhound IMO. I wouldn't do any major chages, but a simple touch that'd help make it look more humanoid would be to add some construction below the eyes and/or on the sides of the head equivalent of cheek bones. Would be an armor skirt of sorts like the current mk3 Warlord or something with tubes or hoses coming out of it. Wither way just something that will make it less boxy and more "face" like. :)

Edit: Just a crude photoshopping of your sketch to illustrate the suggestion.

Interesting, I'd tried to make it more humanoid in shape but keep the design elements of the warhound and reaver in it, when you see the photo you'll see it's very different shape to the warhound, but I'll look at the overall thing when the model is more complete - much easier to see what it's like on the actual thing.

PS What about all the variant heads for the warlord - Eagle, Castle, Corvus, Weapon etc . . . None of these are very human.

True, though the key word here is "variant" heads. The more iconic heads most commonly seen on the models/artwork are humanoid, (or at least resemble human knight armor in case of one of the plastic beetleback head variant).

Regardless, it is difficult to judge the exact shape based on sketches alone, so I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with "in the flesh" :)

Didn't get as much done today as I'd hoped, but here's the beginnings of the head. This is the cowling piece, with one eye chopped out a little, there is a double chop, it is the further rear (right hand in the photos) that will be the eye position.

Do you just sit there and watch these forums, waiting for people to post?

What do you reckon about cutting through for a side and top access hatches?
As per first set of head sketches.

Working on the nose armour at the mo. I'll post a photo in ten mins or so.

This is a fairly fast mock-up of the nose section, but it shows the differing shape from the drawings, is this prefered? Opinions on the direction the model is heading away from the drawings!

Bit demanding but hey, soon I'll have a warlord titan to back up my demands!
