Hi all,
I am NOT calling this a blog. This will fail dismally, and I will stop posting after a week.  These Blood Axe Boys have a pile of battletanks and trukks and wagons and stuff, and being a sneaky lot they painted it all in dull, drab and fast and easy camo colours; and although their tanks are armed with close combat weapons, they're there to clear mines and obstacles, and are only used for CC in case of emerginsi.
The Blood Axe boss knows all about titan legions, and decided to call his group a 'Ligin' after the hardest formations he has ever messed with. And being a clever boss he can count all the way up to 4, so to show his lads are the best he numbered the unit using the biggest number he could think of - after all, 'Ligin Lotz' does sound a bit silly.
Oh dear, it just struck me that name is familiar.... hmmm, now who does it remind me of...?  :devil:  :devil:

PS writing Orkish is easy -just spell words the way you would in Maltese, and voila (which would read vwala, of course).

PS - this should be on the Vanblog of course, but I think I'll keep it all here. I'll be using 'tanks's for all sorts of vehicles, incidentally, from Grooberz liffle tank to something which has to be qute large but is as yet completely undefined (I think I know what a Mekboy feels when he gets all worked up and wanst to build a Gargant!). There will be the odd gargant too, as well as some Stompas and Squiggoths. The small fry (bikes and the like) will probably be Sunz, but those wil come later. The boyz will be a mix of all tribes.

Ligin For ... sounds vagely familiar ... ?Must ?be an Ork term ?! ??? ?Sounds like a real well trained outfit, even for Orks ! ?:alien: ?Yep, ?That is the way we do it, Van ... any Ork vehicle with rollers, rams, etc. are mine rollers, mine plows, Cullin Cutters, etc. and they can remove mines and obstacles, using SM1 and SM2 rules ! ?:alien: Thanks for the compliment ! :D  Dey Must B ah Tuff 'Oonit ! :laugh:

Well, here's the first lot. A word of explanation. I will be using the green camo a lot, so stuff like the Stompa banners will be added to brighten things up.
The numbers on the tanks - yes, I know they look crude, they ARE Orks, you know?

The Squiggoth - the old, old Squiggoth, a lovely model but horrendously out of scale. Ah well, who cares? It's in a different scheme, because it was nearly done when I dug it out of storage, and I hate repainting models. It's twin had progressed less, and will bridge the colours on this model and the green scheme.

The old Battlewagon. I am not a fan of this, but I found an old plastic Battlewagon which someone had sent me (anyone recognize it? I think it had been Justiniel's) which had been painted in the scheme shown in the old Space Marine game box. A wave of nostalgia drowned me, so I kept the scheme and just patched and washed and dusted it a bit. Oh well, in Ork society you'll always get rebels...

HeY !!! Very Nice !!!  Great looking banners too. Your MekBoyz have done Good ! Looks like they could fit into my Warbands, no problem ! :alien:  Hey, I better check my Orkses Motor Pool, I may have some AFVs missing !!? ???  I've got over 40 of those Mk.1P (plastic) Battlewagons spread out amongst my Warbands(yes, based on SM1 TO&Es, some of my WARbands are Mech ! Hard to break some old habits !).  We use them just like Rhinos, ie. - APCs. I've got a Mob of 5 of those old Squiggoths. The way we look at it, is even if they are small ... they pack Grots in them !  :alien:  Great job there Van on Ligin For !  I'd be glad to have them on my flank ! :;):  WAaaaaagh !

And that is one smart warboss you got there.  Though my boyz say he is making up this number for, there is nothing beyond bucket loads.
