Hello all Sororitas maniacs! The Sisters of Battle have received a new update, v 1.3, and it's biggest one ever! All the bugs present previously were corrected, a new rule added for Flamers and Meltaguns to simplify their use, and the Unofficial Units section has suddenly burst from nothing to whole 21 new units! (there is a little problem, tho- the datasheets are done, but no point values nor rules for fielding the unofficial stuff... oh, well, these are more for fun then for gaming, so there is always time)

Thanks again, 5th-Horseman.
I'm sure that this list will be up the same high standard of your other ones.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Not an army unit selection thread, but one on the theme/background and colour scheme (including the all important tank camo!) of your Imperial Guard forces. I'm building up on the real dog soldiers of the Imperium in anticipation of the upcoming release of Armageddon.
I've gone for a balanced force that represent the XIII Orion regiment. Lots of infantry, plus a fair amount of artillery, armour and super heavies. Orion is a standard industrialised world, filled with sprawling urban areas and their agri-based hinterlands (no hive scum here !) Units of Ultramarines, Imperial Navy fliers and Titans may well seconded to the Orion formation when on active duty. A newly raised Imperial Guard regiment that some considered to be an unlucky inheritor of the 13th designation, they went into their first blooding with a heavy burden to dispell. This new Orion force however have proved their doubters wrong with a number of stirling encounters in their initial baptism of fire against Orkoid system encroachment and are now waiting to be shipped off to the Armaggon warzone ready to (hopefully) establish their repuation as one of the illustrious Guard battleforces. Colour scheme is generally a light grey for troopers and (goblin) green and (codex) grey bands on most of the vehicles. Should work in most standard urban/wild battlezones.

My IG are the old school, codex grey, say goodbye to your planet, win and colonize or die. No heroes. No one will remember your name. Go forth and die in service.
Colors are grey, with a touch of purple and gold here and there. Camo is 2 shades of grey, lighter background with veins of darker.
Simple, plain, generic, mass-produced, just like the IG should be.

That's the way a former "Grunt", would see it ... All my IG Regiments are numbered after units I served in ...

My new IG project are Jopallis in their patented "Lemon lime swamp ambush camo."
My first IG were plain navy blue.
The second batch had a white uniform.
The third batch were Vietnam OD (Olive drab).
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

When I finally finish my Eldar, my collection of IG will be Cadians in greatcoats.. painted grey, with the tanks in camo like this on FW's excellent Stormsword.

Well my IG Fluff is incomplete, and is being written in conjunction to a Campaign Background of a minor (in relative terms) Imperial Crusade to retake a system of worlds isolated for the last few hundred years by warp storms. ?As the storms dissipate, the crusade moves in to find the taint of chaos has reached these worlds and that the previously contained Ork incursion has spread without the additional resources of the Imperium to keep them in check...
Essentially though, my IG Forces are elements from a number of Regiments combined into a composite combined arms Brigade that should be able to look after itself on the whole and operate independantly of additional Crusade Support. ?
Infantry - includes a Mechanised Battalion from the 2nd Division, Death Korps of Krieg (suspiciously looking like WW2 German and Russian colours); a Battalion of Assault Infantry, 2 Companies of Death World veterans who provide the stealth/light infantry capabilities (looking suspiciously like Vietnam vets!), and an Ogryn Shock Assault Company
Recon Forces- 3 Sentinel squadrons, backed up with 2 squadrons of Rough Riders
Armour- the Crusade Force is blessed by the presence of the "Leichhardt Panzer Korps" (Leichhardt is the surburb I live it BTW)- comprised of 2 Battalions. ?The 1st battalion is a Superheavy Battalion (comprised of 4 Squadrons, again in ww2 German Ambush camo), 2nd Battalion comprised of 3 Russ Companies (Codex Grey)
Artillery- 3 Companies from the 22nd Artiilery Regiment (Codex Grey) (My old Artillery Regt)
Titan Support- comprehensive Support has been assigned, including a mixed Demi-Legio of Warlords, Reavers and Warhounds.
Air Support- comprehensive support is provided by the 1st Aviation Group (2 Marauder flights, 1 Thunderbolt Flight- all in green/brown Cam) and the Imperial Navy's 92nd Attack Wing (1 Flight Marauders, 2 Flights Lightnings- in USN ww2 type blue colours)
I'll post all the nice fluff once its finished!

Hi!
Looks like you got a good amount of IG in that force Tas.
No landspeeders? They make good scouts.

I would like to incorporate some Imperial bike detachments into the recon forces, but dont have enough old figures for it yet...
In my haste, I forgot a few detachments:
3rd Special Assault Group: 2 Assault Companies, 1 Ogryn Shock Assault Company
1st Underground Attack Unit- 1 Hellbore, 6 Termites
Ordinatus Seige Group- 2 Ordinatus Golgotha, 2 Ordinatus Armageddon, 2 Oridinatus Mars
Brigade Command Element- 1 Capital Imperialis,1 Command Company
I almost have all the figs to field all of those on the table at once; I am missing 1 Russ and 1 Arty company. ?I'm saving those for the release of the new figures. ?On the whole though, my figs are a vast mix from all periods of Epic.
I know it doesnt come close to some of you who have 10s of thousands of points worth, but I've only been collecting a Guard army for about 10 months so I am very happy with its progress...of compilation that is, its nowhere near all painted ?
