You can find my photographs I took at GamesDay at

http://www.ifelix.co.uk/show003.html

I will apologise that they are not up to my usual standard as there are some which are slightly fuzzy (especially the Warmaster ones) which I put down to the sheer number of people.

Cheers

Hi!

No worries, I thought they were all ver good!

Jimbo, the 40k gargant, was that one of the old Armorcast ones?

The "mayan" warmaster battlefield was pretty cool. I wonder what they used for the ziggurat?

I think it was... it certainly looked like it.

one of the problems I found were that the GW people playing the game knew very little about the models and games they were playing

the same thing happened here, I asked for the source of the model and the people playing the game didn't know...

I saw one up close once when I lived in NY. As far as I know it should be the armorcast one, I never knew another company to make them.

AAARGH! That's so fustrating! Ask about space marine armor color and I bet you would have been swamped by the answers. Ask about non-GW sources....blank stares...

Oh well, they sure were neat though whatever the source.

I loved the jungle terrain !  I have a bunch of jungle terrain pieces, and working on more, as time permits. Including a Megasaurus herd !  I think the temple was scratch built, but I could be wrong ?  :;):

Great pics Jimbo, I missed the models that were resin.

I cant be certain if the front set were marines....as for the rear set they looked like Tau but I cannot tell... Did it say?

I like the 40k gargant

a close up look indicated it was a cast piece and not scratchbuilt

to be honest, I didn't see (there were too many people pushing and shoving, I was lucky to even get a picture - I was holding the camera out in one hand and hoping to get a picture).

Well Jimbo, if you find out who makes those Mayan pieces, let us know !  I'd love to get a hold of thoses !  And I'd love to see the ORCA in Epic scale, but based on what we know, that may come about down the road !  Thanks again for those pics !  Great Recon work ! :;):

Yeah, nice pics Jimbo- the front set on the FW picture are SMs I think- on the second picture you can see the end one is holding a missle launcher if you look carefully, and you can also make out the one with the upraised sword has a SM backpack.

They are indeed SM's.
1:The "normal" 6 part marine
2: Marine Sgt with Bolt pistol & Chainsword. The bolt pistols are beautifully done, as ae the heads which are bare, except the raised front plate which comes to approximately nose height.
3: Assault marine. Havent seen these in detail.
4: Heavy with missile launcher. One of my favourites from his range - great detail including a few tiny wires etc. on the launcher!

Unfortunately current word is that FW will not be producing them in the forseeable future. They will make characters for E:A, but general kits are not seen to be worth it when fanatic are doing their plastics again.

But, as we all know, Tony C. changes his mind on a weekly basis!

well in this case I really do hope Tony C. changes his mind :D

Shame I didnt get to see them close up. As Jimbo says people were pushing and shoving just to get a look especially in the lower hall where the GD entries were.  Some of my pics really came out badly where someone had knocked me here and there.

I was reviewing the pics again last night, I'm still very much enamored with those Mayan pieces. ?If anyone finds out how to get those let me know ! ?I think the SM figs are very nice, but like I have said before, there are a lot of other models for the "Forgotten Armies", that could be done ... ?:L
