Given some recent (and not so recent) discussions about point values I thought I would post a helpful pictorial that would IMO help the community.
There seem to always be a handful of Epic players that cannot handle the fact that a unit or formation would fall outside of a 25 point denomination (ex. 25, 250, 175, etc.). To these people I have included my top ten ways to improve what apparently is a very difficult situation when building an Epic army.
Here is my TOP 10 Helpful Tools List

Use a calculator. These handy devices have been around for the better part of three decades and nowadays are really inexpensive.

Use a pencil and paper. Before the calculator men and women alike used this tried and true method of doing complex math tasks such as ADDITION.

Learn addition. Some people may be experiencing some problems adding up these smaller denominations (under 25) because of an educational barrier. There is no shame in this! Many stores now carry workbooks that will greatly assist in this process. The one featured here was actually purchased at a Hobby store!

Use your fingers. The good ole standby. Fingers have always been handy (no pun intended) on making your counting process go a little easier.

Fingers and Toes. There are going to be occasions when fingers just won't cut it on your addition problems. In that case, take those socks off and get those under-used toes involved!

Help from friends. Since there are usually two people playing Epic, why not ask for an extra hand (or foot)?

Use an abacus. This ancient device was assisting the Babylonian gamers 5000 years ago with their Epic army construction and there is no reason why you can't do the same.

Computer calculators. Windows users will find this virtual calculator by following START, ALL PROGRAMS, ACCESSORIES, CALCULATOR.
Of course since this is Windows using this very complex program could drain valuable resources from your operating system and crash your computer. But it is a small price to pay to get out of those difficult math problems like 50 + 35.

Build a spreadsheet or use other type of program (such as Army Builder).
Now given the complexity of these ideas you may need to seek help from another more experienced player, but once you are in possession of such a tool you won't even have to think about the math.

Now obviously this post was meant tongue-in-cheek.
To address the concerns that have polluted the Necron thread though...
Keeping values at 25 point denominations is ultimately going to lead to min-maxing a list moreso than the values of 40 or 35 or 65. Anyone who plays the Necron list has run into the problem where you have 35 points left and nothing to fill it with (there was a recent playtest that had just this very problem). 25 point denominations almost always fit together to form nice round numbers like 3000, 4000, 5000. 40 point values (and other values too) because of their rarity screw things up and create values that will typically force a list to be under the maximum allowable point value since you can't go over (or at least SHOULDN'T).
