I still have the Salamander scouts to buy, so its not a problem that Minervans are banned from this tournament...

I used the salamanders as a replacement for the amoured cavalry/reconnaisse company.  Funny thing though, while the Epic Armageddon book mentioned the Salamanders in the Count As section, there are no formal organization chart for them.

So, using the Cavalry battalion organization chart in the current U.S. Army Heavy Brigade as a template, the organization would like something like this:

1. One Armored Cavalry Company, using the organization chart for the Mechanized Infantry Company with salamanders substituting for Chimeras.

- 6 Salamander Scouts with 1 Salamander Command as
 the Headquarter.

2. One Tank Platoon.
- 3 Conquerors

3. One Griffon Platoon.
- 3 Griffons

4. Sentinel Platoon.
- 4 Sentinels

5. One Vulture Squadron
-4 Vultures

6. One Mechanized Infantry Platoon with Three Chimeras.

OK! I marked Demolisher & Thunderer as RARE in my copy, Tank company of 10 Thunderers for 400pts + upcrades was nice... :p
Hey E&C, I think that Hydra pattery is too small with 3 Hydras, 1 good hit and its Broken! Allow Hydra upgrades?!

For this reason hydra tanks are up to two per company, not up to one as in the original Steel legion list. And allowing them in 5 strong will lead to the same results as Ork flakwagon rush, but with much worse impact, because hydras are plain better.

I tought that would be it, but had to ask...
4 Hydras would have been enough for me, but that was not meant to be... :p

No problem.

but just a note:

You will try to get some cheap fighters into your lists, else your activation count will be lower than any super-duper chaos fearless army ever can reach :) So AA will not break you backbone when playing the minervans :;):

Medusas are worthles (in my eyes :;): ) There are better formations for your bucks. 3 unit formations tend to break easily and your count is dropping fast. I like T-bolts, they can get a "stand down" action, for just 150 with a small chance of really loosing the activation.

I?ve never tried Salamanders, but they need one of your precious support slots. You have few companies to fill you slots. (for example my list hosts two companies (for about 1400 pts) , granting me 4 support slots. To get a decent activation count you HAVE to use eighter Warhounds or T-bolts, because they do not need slots. LR Companies are not to build under 700 pts.  SHT are damn slow, but cheaper.....

The Minervan colour scheme I've gone with is desert camouflage. (Looking up pictures of tanks from the gulf war helps).

Hope not so

No models, no list entry. If it would be other way round we would get Executioners with side sponsions ;)
