Just wondering as I scan ebay for epic stuff, I've come across this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BOX-OF-....iewItem

Just curious, many people won an ebay lot and when you recieve it, not got what you expected?

Looking at the bid linked above, there isn't one visible model that I can clearly identify as a Tyranid model. There is a possible stand of Dactyls or Hormagaunt in the top middle of the picture.

Yep. Looks like a lot of Chaos stuff to me. Cant seem to find any actual Tyranids either. First port would be to contact the seller before the end of the auction to allow him to clarify or change the listing.

However, I think that once the auction is over, any error depends on contact made before the close. If you asked, and the seller 'mis-identified' then you should contact eBay. If you didnt ask, and the auction was not technically wrong, then I dont think that there is much that you can do about it.

Juggernauts, beasts of slaanesh, chaos marines, disc riders, plus Eldar exarch's.. I'm not sure the seller really knows what's in there.  Might be an idea to mail him and say about the mistake so as he's not misleading anyone else.

I've had misleading titles get me once, bought the second edition renegades box (as that was the picture) found it had an army in it instead of the rules...  Sold the army to someone on the boards, then found a proper version!

I rarely bid on an assortment like this if I'm not sure exactly what's in it. As others have said, it defintely has a lot of Chaos. I'm guessing the seller really doesn't know what he has. You could ask for a pic that shows everything laid out.

I think you're absolutely right, D/S - I don't think there's anyone doing a terencestephens here, but (as is often the case) somebody's parents clearing their attic and not really knowing waht all those strange little figures are... :D

Well, I won this auction, when I receive it I shall elucidate upon the exact contents... I'm pleased that it appears to contain at least some of the SM-era Chaos Marines, as I need these to make another formation of Iron Warriors! Plus, if there actually is any Tyranids, I'll be even happier :D :)

okay, after a long wait due to the postal strike I finally received this stash... and highly pleased I am, too! :) It actually contains no Tyranids - despite the auction title, but plenty of SM2 era Chaos stuff, as well as a few Eldar & Guard bits and bobs.

I'll take pics to show the booty at a later point, but I'll just quickly say that the high-point of this lot is that it contains 4 of the old plastic Chaos Dreads!  Nice

Okay, here's what I got: lots of Khorne Juggernaughts, a few Tzeentch Disc Riders, some Slaanesh Beast Riders, a few Minotaurs, 4 Chaos Dreadnoughts  9 Chaos Marine units (I can do another couple of formations for my Iron Warriors army now, whoot! :D ); plus some Eldar stuff (going for sale/trade), 2 stands of Guard (sale or trade), some Chaos Sqauts (sale/trade again) and a couple of Marines (you never know when they might come in handy, so I'm keeping them!)

I'll get a full trade list together when I've worked out exactly what I need for my armies. ?Cheers for looking!

:)

It's a bummer that you didn't get any Nids, but sounds like a good haul of Chaos and other stuff.

I think someone's going to be mightily annoyed when they recieve THIS item in the post!

Over 3x retail value for an item thats still readily available.... Madness!
