This is the crux of much of the sentiment that is displayed far and wide through the net. There just isn't any real "buzz" or excitement about epic A. I don't mean that which a person or two will display, but the infectious kind that spawns a real interest of things to come. Check around other forums, GW ones and otherwise. How many posts about epic A show up? One in ten? one in 20? More? When they do show the dialogue or impressions aren't what you'd call "bathed in enthusiasm". I mean come on, aren't people SUPPOSED to be really excited about this? Jumping for joy? Most are assuming the wait and see stance, which is okay since many have been "burnt" by GW sales practices before, but its also a self fulfulling prophecy too. If you "wait and see" and don't buy right off, GW won't see those mega-sales it believes it must get for the line to be profitable and ceases to support it which will just reinforce the wait and see stance. Promises, promises. For those who have "been around the epic block" know darn well GW will promise the earth and the moon, but if sales are not high, you get...well squat (pun VERY intended). We are already seeing backtracking, if you read earlier Firepower mags, there was a commitment to "bring out a full line" this time around, but if you beleived that, perhaps Santa still visits your house... ![]() Save your pennies and buy up all you can when it is released, since the potential "draught" after this "release" may make the one after Epic 40k look like an oasis. It's a German W.W.II halftrack, right? Probably about a 1/35 kit, no? Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. _________________ 6mm Sci-fi: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/6mm ... nWarGames/ My Personal Blog: http://6mm-minis.blogspot.com/ |
