Beautiful :cool:

Thanks.  :)

I remember seeing those fortifications somewhere before. Who's the manufacturer?

DaemonScape. See the link at the end of my post.  :;):

Also nice rust effect. Did you use that makeup kit from Testors?

I used pigments from a set made by Andrea Miniatures. There are six types of "earth" pigments (from dark brown to ivory beige), and they're really nice and easy to use: mix your pigments with some water, apply on the mini and voil?!

I've just finished my Warlock Titan and decided to make it my entry for this year's War Engine EpiComp category.

A few pictures...

Blurred close-ups, as usual...

How do you like my "bling-bling" Titan ?  :laugh:

Painting "guide", for those interested:

- Black undercoat (surprise, surprise!  :p )

- Blue Ink glaze all over the Titan, in order to give the black a little more depth (first time I tried this and I was really surprised with the result... it looks really good, I think)

- Wraithbone parts:

  * Khemri Brown undercoat (Citadel Foundation colour)
  * several diluted layers of Bleached Bone, until the colour is homogeneous
  * several glazes of Chesnut Ink (diluted)
  * one or two layers of diluted Bleached Bone (avoid the hollow parts)
  * light Skull White drybrush in the center of the surface

- Spirit stones (used diluted colours) :

  * one or two layers of Liche Purple all over the spirit stone (just leave the top part in black)
  * one or two layers of  Warlock Purple on the bottom half
  * a layer of Tentacle Pink on the bottom of the spirit stone
  * layer of Warlock Purple over the Tentacle Pink
  * layer of 'Arcdoat Varnish all over the spirit stone

- for the red Spirit Stones, I used the following colours: Liche Purple, Mechrite Red, Red Gore, Blood Red et Golden Yellow, then Blood Red over the Golden Yellow.

- for the motif on the right leg, I used Mechrite Red, then Red Gore, Blood Red, Blazing Orange, Red Ink. Of course, all of these colours were heavily diluted.

- and finally, the stand:

  * GW sand
  * Charadon Granite followed by a Bleached Bone drybrush
  * edge: Graveyard Earth
  * GW statif grass

And that's it! 1 Titan down, 4 more to go...

Very beautiful work- How do you do the detachable marines? I've been doing something along the same  lines,but I put the single figures on 5mmX5mm steel bases. Then I have rare earth magnet type squad bases they go on. I've been attempting something like you have but have been unsuccessful. Do you mind sharing?

Not at all. ?:)

It's actually difficult to explain, so I'll do a base (always need spare ones for future armies anyway) and take some pictures. Expect them in the next couple of days.

Well, it's been a long time, but I'm back to painting again. So here are a few pictures of my Eldars Titans. They've waited long enough on my painting shelf !

Phantoms first
