If formations are put aside to be transported to field via teleport, drop pods, flyer transport (and webway in case of eldar), on which situation the method of transport needs to be defined?
For example: - can I have 2 formations put aside and then use single flyer to transport them to combat in subsequent turns? - can I use the transport flyer to fly empty to bomb for the first turn, and then go and pick something from reserve to drop? (the aircraft rules seem to point to that) - in case of eldar, can I just say take 3 aspect formations and then use mixture of webways, teleportation and vampires on-demand (or do I need to predefine what is loaded to vampire?)
..could not find clear rules about this from the rulebook.

This depends upon whether you are playing in a tournament or using a scenario (or house rules). In tournaments according to 6.1.6, the mode of transport is declared at the start of the game when the formation is set aside in reserve, and each formation being transported is defined as being loaded up in the transport - so you are not allowed to fly back and pick up another formation. Eldar formations differ because they do no need to define which gate they will use. I do not think anyone has questioned whether Swooping Hawks set aside for the Webway can switch to being teleported, but would suggest that you check with your opponent first.

Hi! Considering swooping, I really think you have to tell whether you'll br using teleport or a portal. It makes more sense to me : either they are high in the sky or in the webway...

As Ginger noted, the GT scenario states you must specify and load transports for reserve units. You cannot return to pick up a "second wave" or start empty in order to make a safe strafing run ground attack. You can make a strafing run before you land and unload but the troops are on the craft. If the transport is shot down, you lose it all.
I'd agree that Hawks should have to be specified as Teleport or Webway. Those are different types of reserves and it's no different than having to specify whether SM Terminators are teleporting or being deployed in a Thawk.
