I thought i add some more flavour to the game and allow Terminators the use of Droppods in Epic.

Flavour is good in new lists but you have to do that at the expense of some other ability.

So if the Salamanders did it but couldn't teleport then that is fine, I think, but modding the existing list to add it isn't something I think is necessary.

No. Not having read the list I wouldn't presume to know what is in it. I also, from time to time, don't presume what other people do or do not think is reasonable.

?

Teleport is used ot bring a formation on the table. Droppods are used to bring a formation to the table.
You can only use one of these. How would you be able to use both methods with the same formation???

People can always add it as house rules or scenario rules. I'd say just leave em alone.

You can't.

Your comment wasn't clear. You can always give the formation the option for both though which is what I though you were referring to.

Please leave them as they are. Not another senseless proposal. Keep the army list but alter the units not functioning. Terminators are good, Terminators are expensive (350 for 4 after changes) and Terminators have three ways to get to the enemy. No need to include another one.

Yes there is no need for it. But this isn't the point :)

But that is the point. Changes have to be made where they are needed, not because anyone has a shiny day and feels lucky and think now it?s time to tweak around on some army lists.   Thats not the way game designing and improvement works.

Game designing is to create a balanced and FUN armylist.
Allowing Droppods for Terminators doesn't touch the balance of the SM armylist but provides an additional fluffy choice for the player to tailor the army to his own tastes increasing the fun he has playing with it.

Sorry I don?t feel the Space Marine list more funny because I am dropping my Termies with Drop pods instead of teleporting them or bring them in with a Thunderhawk.

It neighter adds "Coolness" to the list nor any tactical evidence. It?s simply because of another ridiculous change in a 40k Codex.

Termies are not supposed to be dropped in Epic, and this should stay. There are plentifull other options without constricting your tactical flexibility.

It's not a rediculous change from a codex. It's there since 3rd Edition = the introduction of the droppod in Wh40k games.

So the list isn't fun without the drop pod option? Is the current option unbalancing?
