Well, let's just stick to smaller scenarios from ASL, Tank, etc., that deal with just parts of the battle. ?

At least we could play those on a reasonably sized table instead of a football field!

Hi!

Wel...what do you expect from someone who actually want to play Kursk with 6mm figures on a 1:1 scale? :p

Hi!

Long games are no deterrant when it comes to humungous bragging rights of actually having attempting to play such a game... :;):

...and having the digital pics to prove it!

Actually you wouldn't need to have all the units anyway. The first units can be recycled as Turn 4's reinforcements etc. as you could pretty safely assume they wont be there on the table anymore.

And this would be truely Germanic too:

Hitler had some tanks drive by the crowds two or three times at the Munich Rallies to make it look like he has more armour strength than he really did! :p

Rommel did the same thing when he first landed in North Africa to deceive the British agents as to the size of this force... ?

Sneaky lot, those Nazis... :;):

Indeed they were...of course Rommel was no Nazi but that is so OT is belongs in another forum :D

Back OT, this week's offering really is Eastern Front style.  Check out the "thronging masses" special rule...wow!

Sadly it looks like this may be the last one being put up- there are no unused slots in the EA section and the campaign concludes soon. Still, they were nice while they lasted.

Is anyone going to archive or otherwise save these scenarios in case they remove the web site after the EoT campaign ends?

Shabbat Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

I have been converting them to Word documents whenever I have had some time to spare. At present I have the first five scenarios saved.

Some more interesting scenarios: Tarawa, Normandy, Okinawa, come to mind.
I can think of some neat models for the Bunkers and Barges, too.

At CONQUEST this weekend, there was a massive Tarawa game (across at least three tables all done up with beaches, bunkers, and shore defences).

I wanted to play, but we were still finishing up the Epic game when it started.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Nice.  I always look at such terrain setups with envy.  Logic and future useability has no place in my drooling :D

What scale?  One would assume a larger 1/72 or 15mm perhaps?

I think it was 1/72 or 20mm, but I don't remember for sure. I left before the minis showed up to eat lunch. I'll check the convention events catalogue later and see.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Cool.  I saw a similar Atlantic Wall game at a SALUTE in London 2 years ago...  VERY cool terrain, but I wonder if he did much gaming while it was being built? :;):

Ancient alien artefacts of unknown origin or operation; they serve to keep the warp route from the Imperium into the Eye of Terror stable. ?

Thus Cadia is the only stable long term passage into/out of the EoT. ?

Thus the heavily fortified "Cadian Gate" to defend from Chaos incursions.

For those who don't frequent it much, there is an interesting topic going on at the E-A boards about a modular concept to building IG armour formations.

Whilst trying to retain the very structured format of IG forces (which I really like BTW) the idea is:

- That instead of buying rigid 3 platoon of of armour plus 1 HQ tank, you buy 1 HQ tank and a minimum of 2 platoons, but...

- Then you can then buy additional platoons as desired, and each additional one allows you to swap in a Russ variant.

Its worth a look IMHO. I quite like it and would value your comments before I go crazy with some pen and paper.
