I wouldn't call it the Tallarn 17th Armoured Regiment but simply Tallarn Armoured Regiment.
The Imperial Guard Armylist in the rulebook isn't the XYZth SteelLegion Regiment too ;)

The Supreme Commanders Smalls Arms you could call Pintle Mounted StormBolter or HeavyStubber.

Please don't kill me, but I'm actually considering changing the name for the 'Minervan Tank Legion', as I've come to believe that there is actually potential in a Tallarn Light Infantry army, and I don't want to gobble up the Tallarn name in case someone wants to do a list for them.

That make sense?

Agreed.

Uhm, you may want to let Corey know that...  :O  Or you could just become the Tallarn List Developer, making all things Tallarn.

Mwahaha. :D

My brother and I hashed out a few ideas for a Tallarn light infantry list the other month, essentially a cut down Steel Legion with extra types of Sentinel & Rough Riders.

I don't think that changing the name of the list to the Minervan Tank Legion would affect the plot of Raiders... though yes, Corey should have the call here.

I was actually thinking about doing some conversions for those Mulaki-thingamabobbers.  Slow, heavy, cavalry... But I'm taking this off topic.

The 1.4 list looks good, but this is one of those things that needs playtesting to flush things out.  The Elysians looked pretty weak on paper, but the playtesting showed something entirely different.

I always wondered why it was the Tallarn actually, did they even take part in the 3rd war?

I think Minervan Tank Legions would be cool, they have Tank in there name even, how hard core is that?

Two notes:

Since you gave the Command Salamander Heavy Flamer Small Arms Ignore Cover, consider the Chimera Heavy Flamer turret being the same as well.

Wolf class Warhounds have a plasma blast gun and a turbo laser, you might need another Warhound variant name to fit the Forgeworld model.

Nope. No Tallarns on Armageddon. Codex: Armageddon and the Epic Rulebook doesn't mention them.

IIRC they had a choice of weapons, one of which is the configuration listed.

Where are you recalling the information from?  The Forge World website is the only thing I can really find with regards to this online.

Before they offered weapon choices they were listed as follows:

Jackal - Inferno Cannon and Vulcan Mega Bolter
Wolf - Plasma Blastgun and Turbo Laser
Mastiff - Plasma Blastgun and Vulcan Mega Bolter

Any idea what the other 13 permutations were named. :p

Several of them were named Wolf. :)

Each name covered a small spectrum of configurations, IIRC.

Small point on the Minervan Tank Legions - according to the E:A rulebook, they use the Steel Legion list.
Although there are
some minor differences between the uniforms
and vehicle patterns used by the Minervan?s
and those used by Armageddon Steel Legion
formations, these can safely be ignored and a
Minervan army can be represented by Steel
Legion ?stand-ins?. To be strictly accurate, any
Minervan force should include a high
proportion of Tank Companies, as these
formed over half of the regiment?s total
strength at the start of the campaign.

I've always preferred the idea of them being exclusively tank-based, though.

Question on the Stormhammer: My (very old) model has the two twin demolishers, and four other small turrets. The list has the two twin demolishers and eight other turrets. Is there a different model?

Other than that, I love it. Stuff the infantry, give me loads of Armour! Although personally speaking, it could benefit from a Macharius or two... :D

regards,
Reaver

Same model.

Look at yours closely.. there are quite a few studs on the sides of the sponsons... those are meant to be Bolters!

Now 12 Boltguns is a bit of a weird thing to have on an IG tank these days, so I assumed that if a Stormhammer model were made today, each sponson would basically just be the same as the one on the Baneblade.

So, a Lascannon on top, with a Heavy Bolter underneath.

Not a bad idea!

Maybe Malcadors too?

Fluffwise Malcadors are meant to be a very old design that is not often produced anymore, having been superceeded by the Leman Russ.
