V, you are a mad genius!  That is dead brilliant!  This promises to be even better than the Tzeentch nail clippers (which didn't get the credit they deserved)

Might I humbly make one suggestion?  Rather than basing it on the CI, what about basing it on the huge transports of the Tau or Dark Eldar.  Those are massive and would fit better with it's size.

Can't wait to see where this leads!

It is good to know that when I am feeling a little crazy I can come here and Van can prove that madness is an occupation for professionals only, and not some part timer like me :D

EPISODE 5
Glad to know I've got a sound reputation for being nuts.
Today we are learning how to make panels - nice, flush, neat things, and not huge, thick rivetty plates like the Orks use, or nasty spiky ones a la Chaos. I think I might have got that problem pinned down.

Oh, Vanvlak. I should send you a care package of resin bits so you don't have to consort with broken household appliances.

:D  :D I was barely able to control my laughter. Fortunately, my coworkers wouldn't have been too suprised to hear me laugh for no apparent reason.

Van, you truly are a mad genius and I mean that in only good ways.

Glad to be of service DS. Otter, thanks very much - but I'd still do weird stuff like this. If anything, to hear the comments  :D  :D  :D Joint prize between Moscovian's retort to Pulsar and Lord Inquisitor's cleverlogic, so far.

episode - er - whichever

Progress on the old flatiron has been delayed, this time by Lextar  :p
The  provision of 3 old Wardens, which I'd been trying to lay hands on for some time, proved irresistible. Here are Citius, Altius and Fortius - I haven't decided which is which yet, although the tracked Mek-Quake wannabe looks like being the more likely contender for Citius.
Simple colour scheme in olive drab for all, with little detail and  the old flesh wash + drybrush.  I went for a used look for these old models. Citius had some blue bands and details painted on his white undercoat when I received him with his mates - I left these on as a relic of a previous colour scheme (which in fact it is!).

Dunno why, but I've always seen these 3 as robots rather than knight wardens. Speaking of which, although Knights featured in Titan Legions, I never saw the rules for Wardens (although the Lancers and Paladins from the same period were revamped). Or were the Wardens transformed to the heavy weapons knights (such as the Castellan)?

Hehe. Nice to see them painted finally. Ultramarines being my favourite Space Marines, I was trying to get these painted that colour many years ago.

They're so old, I can't even remember buying them (which I think I got from a Hobby retailer).

hmm... I just realised what they remind me of... the Tin Man from Return to Oz.

Nice paintjob, Van. I've always liked those Wardens (I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority). I think NetEpic has revamped stats for them.

Nice paint job, V ! Never really liked any of G/W's Knights . But that paint job looks great, a Flesh or Chestnut wash is is a great tool ! :D

Yeah, Wardens have rules in NetEpic....they weren't re-released in the TL days so no cannon rules for them AFAIK.

The older Titans remind me of Vaughn Bode's junkwaffel work.

Eh? Whazzat?

Meanwhile.... I've been destracted once more: Mr. Lextar has also provided me with some IG bits. The scene is set for not one, but two Leman Russ Recovery tanks. Not the original model, but my version, andonbe which is surprisingly not weird.
