Hi everyone,

I'm back from the land of the dead (or rather the land of the very busy, but hey...) with some Tyranid pictures.

I've now finished painting my Termagants (boy was that long!), all 30 of them.

Here they are with a group of Tyranid Warrior


And a close-up


And here's my second Hierophant (and an Alpha Legion Land Raider in a rather bad spot  :) )






My Tyranid army is now approaching 3000 points, can't wait to finally be able to field them !!!  :alien:

Still working on my Tyranids...

I found some time to paint something else, however, for the character stand competition on the epic_fr forum. I wanted to do something new, so I chose to paint some Tau, for a change.

I copied a colour scheme seen in a White Dwarf back when the Tau Empire codex came out. Here's the result.

Tau Commander in Crisis suit






Crisis suit with drone






Ethereal with drones




Colour scheme:

Undercoat

BLANC

Armour

Base coat > Knarloc Green (Foundation colour)
Drybrush 1 > Goblin Green (heavy drybrush)
Drybrush 2 > Rotting Flesh (light drybrush)
Drybrush 3 > Goblin Green (very light)

"Under-armour"

Base coat > Astronomicon Grey (Foundation colour)
Coat 2 > Ice Blue

Stand

- Khemri Brown (Foundation colour) + Bleached Bone drybrush
- Graveyard Earth for the edge

And that's it. Next time, more Tyranids and... a group shot of the full army. ?:D
