Shrugging off the possibility of corporal punishment from my wife, I ordered up a buck's worth of GW stuff I needed to get my Dark Eldar army moving, caved and bought two boxes of Chaos (I have no idea when those will ever be opened) while I was at it.  I open the package and lo & behold...

A Steam Gargant?  Hmmm, checked the invoice and everything seems to be just fine.  No extra charge, nothing missing.  Just an extra Steam Gargant (you know I can see where the confusion set in - they look very Eldar-ish :p ).

I called GW up and they told me "thanks for letting us know.  Chock it up to being a good customer and keep it."

I WIN! :)

Okay, i'm probably being dense here. But where can you order the DE and Chaos epic minis?? I'll be needing a source for both to cover at least 3 gamers in my local gaming group that are also just taking up Epic.

There a no DarkEldar for Epic. Moscovian is scratchbuilding them.

Using suitably Chaotic paint schemes, loyalist Marine vehicles like Rhinos & Land Raiders can also be perverted to the dark side. :)


There is an exceptionally well-made 'counts-as' armylist for Dark Eldar, although it's not 'official'.

Gargh! Someone responded whilst I was checking back at GW online... I missed the Chaos lot at the bottom and I know there are a couple of Chaos fliers on FW under AI; also that the old engines show up fairly often on eBay. Sometimes I feel a little foolish.

  On the DE side of things, any chance of some conversion guides on what you've done already Moscovian? Additionally, are there any print out counters for the DE? I've got the 1.3v of the DE list ready for our DE player but he's going to want something to actually use. ;)

Black Legion is correct on both accounts.  This board and SG board are ripe with examples on Chaos conversions.  

Dark Eldar...  That is the project for the summer.  There are a few people that have started building models for them, although 'Charad' from this board has made arguably the finest looking models.

Dark Eldar for Epic will be featured in a new fan written supplement that will include (amongst other things) modeling tips for how to proxy and scratch build them.  Charad will be assisting in this endeavor, so anyone who loved his mini's will have an opportunity to glean tremendous knowledge from the man.

October 2007 we're looking to put out Epic: Raiders.  For a Dark Eldar army list follow my links below.

No thread jacking done... Honest.  This isn't a deep discussion about hit allocation of MW on mixed WE/non-WE formations. :p

PM me your email address and I'll send the counters we made up for the Dark Eldar.  Clear your mailbox- the files are big!  I think you have the latest rules.  I've played with them and they work well.  The only thing that needs some pre-game discussion is the height of the models (Dark Eldar counters benefit from a VERY low profile :;): ).

Your other questions have been answered above.  If you want answers now you can search Charad's thread for info.  If you can be patient October is our publication date and the pdf will be free here at TacCom.

when i ordered some of my Eldar super-heavy tanks, 2 scropions and 2 cobras, they sent me 2 void spinners and 2 storm serpents!

so having called them, i got the rest FREE!

i like GW but only when they make a mistake!!!!!!!

I wish they'd make mistakes for me, 5 boxes of Chaos & 1 of IG infantry and they got the whole thing correct. Oh well at least we can still get models
