I just ordered ten KV-2 tanks from Scotia Micro-Models to use as Ragnaroks. ?I was wondering if anyone had a GHQ version of the KV-2 and a GW/SG Ragnarok; ?I'd be willing to send one of the Scotia KV-2's to someone in order to get some comparison pics for everyone to see.

The pricing side of it is pretty plain:

Scotia KV-2 per model: ?$0.78 or ?0.40 ?(unit of six: ?$4.68 or ?2.40)
GHQ KV-2 per model: ?$1.79 or ?0.90 ?(unit of six: $17.90 or ?9.00, since you can only order in multiples of five)
GW Ragnarok per model: ?$7.33 or ?3.33 ?(unit of six: ?$44 or ?20)

...but it'd be helpful to show what people can expect to get for their money, and if they'd even want to consider the non-GW alternatives at all. ?Once I receive my order from Scotia, I'll post pics alongside an SG Leman Russ.

Thanks,
jav98

I know they look similar, but I'm curious to see a pic of them side by side.

I think I can help out here with comparison pics. If my masculine charms work on Yen, expect them tomorrow morning. If not, then tonight.

Not really. I'd like to see them in the same pic.

The quality from GHQ is indeed top notch, but I think what we need to see is relative size, as well as detail, styling, etc.  If the GHQ/Scotia KV-2's are far too small, then we can't really use them as proxies.  There's quite a size difference between GHQ M113's and Epic Rhinos, for instance.

@Otterman -- do you have GHQ or Scotia KV-2's?  I can send you one of the Scotia models, if you have the others.  It'd be great to get all three in the same pic.

GHQ. The Scotia would be most welcome.

Hey, have I ever sent you Otter-goodies?

Not yet, man!  Show me the love!

I'm not sure when that Scotia package should arrive, but when it does, I'll PM you and send one over.

Thanks,

Very nice detail on the tanks :) What scale is it? The same as epic (= 1/280)?

Supposedly, yes, 1/285. But as you can see, someone's idea of 1/285 is different than someone else's.
