Thanks very much everyone! :)

Black Legion, the skulls etc are from various Chaos Space Marine parts, like from pistols or Backpacks etc. ?Very useful for Chaos-ifying Imperial Vehicles until FW cave in to the demand to make Epic Chaos Vehicles! :;): :D

Lord I, sorry I didn't mean to denigrate the efforts of yourself and the other people who've been working on the Legion Lists  ; in a sense, although SG recognise your efforts and have put some of the lists on the SG site for download, I can't see GW ever officially supporting them (like several of the other Epic lists). ?E.G. at an official GW Epic Tourney, I'd be surprised if they were allowed, like Dark Eldar or Necrons. ?That's not to stop them being accepted at many other tournaments! ?There's also the fact that these list, in their ways, may be slightly 'unbalanced' (which is understandable, if they are to be true to the background and feel of the armies they represent) and may have clear disadvantages in a Tournament type scenario setting e.g. no dedicated AA.

Does this mean that we should give up on them, or that people shouldn't make armies of World Eaters or Thousand Sons etc? ?Absolutely not, half the fun of this hobby is making unique armies with characterful units, and none are more apt for this than the four dedicated Traitor Legions. ?I hope this makes sense!

P.S.  I will send you some pics of the Drop Fortress later this weekend, although it's 90% painted and I can't finish it as it's in storage ready for the move to France!

I must know how you get your images so crisp when you are that close.  What type of camera are you using? Is there any special setting? Please help.

Hey moscovian, I've got an Olympus (can't remember exactly what model);  to get decent pics of Epic minis I have two methods.  Basically, I use the camera's 'macro' settings for either close-up or super close-up (on my camera this is marked by a symbol that looks like a flower).

For general, wip pictures like the ones above, I don't use any special lighting - I just have the camera on close-up and set to have the flash on.

When I take pics of painted Epic minis, in order to get the details, I set up a little photo area with a backdrop from plain paper; I then have to get a lamp on them, as i use the super close-up function on my camera which doesn't allow you to use a flash.  However, my camera does have a Brightness function which helps.

It's taken me over a year to get these sorts of pics out of my camera - I had it at least six months before I discovered the macro functions! - and I'll probably be getting even better pics in another year's time.  By then I hope to get a tripod of some kind, and make some sort of proper, permanent photography lighting set up.

I hope this helps! :)

Dang, just realised I haven't put any pics of the =][= Drop Fortress on this computer to send to Lord I... I'll do it tomorrow - I'll try not to fogret this time!

Anyway, the last couple of evenings have been spent basing Plague Bearers, continuing with the Death Guard Plague Marines... and finishing some details on this fellow - here's the Iron Warriors Primarch Perturabo, made for E&C & Pulsar for their Epic 'Siege of Terra' participation game:

Looking at this pic, because of the angle I've taken it at, it appears that his head is really low between his shoulders - far too low. ?Looking at him straight on, it looks okay - though I may raise it slightly.

Anyway, I'll endeavour to get him painted by the end of this week so I can send to E&C for their game.

Me love firestorm.

The feeling's mutual, Otterman!* :D

I've made a start on the Iron Warriors Rhinos:

Yesterday I made some preliminary enquiries before starting Predator Conversions for the Emperor's Childrens; I'm going to be using spare Exodus Wars Armoured Transport Laser Turrets, and Blastmasters from the Epic Noise Marine minis to make the Pred's weapons.  Only issue - I'm not sure the E/W turrets are quite large enough, as in height-wise - so I'll mount them on something to make them bigger.  But seeing as I won't start these till after I get to France, I've got a little while to decide exactly what I'll mount them on!

* Of course, I mean that in the platonic, heterosexual way :p  Just so Yen doesn't get worried :;): :D

Very Nice Work !  And I've posted pics of some of my E/W turret conversions.  You may have to mount them on small hex bolts or washers ... I've done that before !   And BTW, I like girls too !  :)
