Would the water texture stuff obscure TOO MUCH detail on a fig?  

I wasn't planning to leave it unpainted, just use it to create an oozing flow.  Something like a slime covered arm or leg, but painted a slimey color rather than being clear.

A good option for ooze might be "Future" silicone floor wax (or similar) with a little green ink mixed in.  Also great for water effects, and cheap :)

I just keep the 4 different old CSMs as separate powers, Khorne, Nurgle, etc. ... and the new CSMs as Undivided ...  I don't use any SM Mk.6 & 7s with my CSM.  I have 5 Bns of Traitors from the Heresy, and they are 6s & 7s.  Interesting note, in SM1, Traitor and CSM forces could be allied !  So interesting possibilities there. But we never played a game with them as allied.  Don't know why ?  :D

Then I recommend using pva-glue (no need to thin it, just add few layers, it shrink on drying), paint on it and add gloss varnish on top, easy and cheap way. :)

So, anyway.  Thanks for the advise.  I'll probably try several of the suggestions (on spare figs I won't mind ruining) and see what I like best.

I think I'll cheat a bit and make one of my 2 marine chapters similar to Iron Warriors colors, the other Word Bearers.  That way they can stand in if I want them to.  

My actual Chaos undivided legion (new fat boys) will probably be either Alpha Legion or Night Lords.  So hard to decide!  

If anyone else has any good Chaosy advise they'd like to share, just post it here.

No worries, Con ... You got a girl/wife ... I've got a room fully of plastic & Metal !  :laugh: But actually, after a quick pass-in-review of my CSMs ... My Undivided are a mix of mostly the SM1 types !  And the new CSMs with the horsy tail helmet plume are on my CMD stands ... With 10+ Epic Amries ... sometimes I get confused !  :alien:
