The way I see it: some Epic is better than no Epic... :)

So erratic is better than nothing.

Hey,

Yeah, some is better than none; I agree. It is good that the Falcon and Wave Serpent are core vehicles, not like the random Death Spinners that were released a couple of months back.

This should mean I should be able to get some core tanks for my Eldar force... which would be nice. :;):

I have to agree with you on this one.  :;):

I would like to see the stuff I want first, who wouldn't. But I will settle for the stuff they want to give me when they want to give it to me.  :L

Better then nothing, for sure.  :D

Hi!

I think the secret in getting what veterans will want to see is depending on how well whats available does.

A dangerous proposition to wait in any case. So pick up what you will and what you can now!

Hi!

There is no doubt that GW's pricing scheme for Epic will be a contributing factor in making or breaking any new Epic game they release. That was another factor for Epic-40k's demise, paying 10 dollars for one sprue is NOT the way to go and charging 15 dollars for ONE Baneblade was a sure fire way not to sell many.

If the new sprues keep themselves at around $3.50 and groups of 3 metal vehicles for 9 dollars, I think they will do fine.

Any higher and sales won't be there...

Primarch.

I tend to agree with you.

Why GW-US-MO has decided to price up all of the old Epic-40k lead is beyond me. Some of that stufff is now more expensive than the older editions!

Hi!

GW has the gut reflex of increasing the price of something when it sells alot. They were experiencing an increase in epic sales and thus the increase of that older epic metal stuff.

They seem to not make the connection between it selling BECAUSE it was at a low price, not due to some fad or increase in popularity.

I can only hope they will not use their usual thought process and release epicA with minis at a higher price than what it is currently. Trying to sell the new sprues at ten dollars or new metal at three models for more than 9 dollars will not be well received. Especially for a game line that needs all the help it can get.

A good game at a reasonable price will go a long way towards a successful run.

Fine sentiments guys, and if Jervis is going to be making a real effort to push things like he seems to want to, I think he will make some good decisions and help steer things in the right direction, even if he doesn't have the final say, as he has some good ideas and of course loves Epic just as much as us!! ...hehe

Hi!

Somtimes I WISH Jervis had the final say, things would be vastly different than they are.

Unfortunately there are MANY people who have the final say on prices and marketing and Jervis is not one of them.

Again, if they LISTEN to the fans they may get it right. If not, then its the return fo the 10 dollar epic sprue.....

Agreed. JJ would be a far better choice than some obscure sales manager who doesn't know a thing about gaming. But at least he succeeded in getting the plastics back; for that feat alone he gets my gratitude. Maybe there's some hope they actually listen to him.

Yes,

I remember paying $10.00 for the new Chaos sprue, years ago... more G/W craziness! ?

Remember in SM2 when sprues were packed 3 Armies to the box... ??? ?

Who knows what lies ahead, with E-A? ?

And I know what the "party line" is, but until I see it for myself or have it in hands, it's all rumor... }:)

Hi!

Haven been a retailer and dealt in GW in that capacity, I'll bet money that redoing the sprues are more of an "excuse" to jack up the price.

While I like to give "positive" encouragement of what to expect from their marketting, so as to not be labeled "gloomy pete", my rational side knows better.

I HOPE they remain low, but dont shock yourselves with reality, when it does come.

I am seldom shocked with reality. People call me a pessimist, but IMO I am a realist...  :;):
