I think that an Easter Island themed Necron army could be pretty cool.  If it were well-done I think it could be a real show-stopper.

Polynesian/Pacrim iconography is the only system I can think of off the top of my head that GW hasn't exploited yet.

You know that has set me thinking- how cool would it be to have a Maori style IG regiment?  Thinking deathworld regiment using catachan infantry with loads of tattoos...

EDIT- at 40k scale of course, unless someone fancies their hand at Epic infantry tatoos  :devil:

Personally, I prefer it simpler. It is starting to look like Fantasy Elf terrain if it gets too ornate.
