Hi,

been a whle since i last posted (though hopefully i'll be able to post a selection of my epic wordbearers soon!) but i was hoping someone could help me.  I know the use os warmaster proxies has been discussed before ref chaos demons - has anyone actually tried it? i'm thinking about trying it myself unless i can get hold of some of those plastic lesser demons!

If anyone has some pics for comparison that they are willing to share that would be awesome...

I unfortunately don't have any pics as mine are still bare naked, but I have purchased a few of the demons for Epic uses.

All look large and nearly double the size of Epic infantry (Warmaster has integrated sculpted bases that add height).

For some demons it works.  Demons should be big and scary.

Chaos spawn and Beasts of Nurgle cover about the same area as an Ork buggy.  The Nurgle beasts have a rider that will have to be removed.

Harpies are all standing on mounds.  Makes them REALLY tall, but again, not unusable.

Tzeentch Horrors are the best size wise, but are all linked and may be difficult to seperate.

I didn't get Plague Bearers or Daemonettes because I thought these really should be the same size as infantry.  PBs are supposed to be demonized humans and Daemonettes are supposed to have exotic alure.  I just couldn't see something being 10+ feet tall and still being aluring (especially when you throw in demonic features).

I also didn't get Bloodthirsters because I had enough of the plastic ones, but may go back and get them anyway.  They look alot nicer than the old Epic metal ones or the plastic ones.  Plus big & scary.

Overall, I would suggest mounting no more than 3 on a single base (if you are worried about being Tournament legal) and more likely 2 (if you aren't).  It would have to be some wimp @$$ demons to be that big, have 5 of them, and not have better stats.

If you are as picky as I am, look forward to trimming down the strip or base they come on.

Again, no pics :( but I'm using WM deamonetts for my Slanesshi army.  I've cut them off in pairs and mounted them on pennies.  I've also used a WHFB/40k deamonette as a greater deamon.

However, as L4 would say - DWWFY.

I've used them as is on the normal epic strip base and they look fine. Maybe a bit big, but I like them... Don't mind that they are all connected.

Um, wait a minute? Those are not in camo! Quick, scan for flying cows!! They must be mounting a sneak attack.  :O  :p

Seriously, I love the paintjob on the Lord of Change. All are awesome but he's still a cut above the rest.

Mageboltrat, just stop it, or you'll be responsible for 90% of us on here never attempting to paint a miniature again! :;): :D

Seriously, these Tzeentch minis are beautiful - I must admit I like the bright colours, they totally work!
