					| Hi!
Definately go plastic, the same amount in metal will be much more expense, more suitable for special units models than your bulk force.

Once they are go thats it, they belong to history. its clearly a case of "if you dont get them now, you may regret it later". Everything else you need (Imperator, etc), will still be there in one form or another, but plastics.....

					| I agree. I got 20 Ork sprues, and 10 Guard. I would get more, but I am having trouble justifying it. For me, plastics are great for making future stands. With metal, you will only be able to play the 'official' stands. If you want to create your own units, you will need plastics. I already have a LOAD of stuff (mostly unpainted), but I would get a load more if I could. You can never have enough ground-pounders. _________________https://www.cybershadow.ninja - A brief look into my twisted world, including wargames and beyond.https://www.net-armageddon.org - The official NetEA (Epic Armageddon) site and resource.

					| After I got my marines there were only 7 left.
Also, does anyone think that they will sell 700+ Imperators at the current price (?15)?

 Cheers

					| Eventually. The US site has them also. just in case. You don't think they are discontinuing the imperator. With the warmonger conversion beining relativly new? They may decide to just sell conversion parts only. Turning the imperator to metal would be too costly for everyone. Anyway, I think it may take a little time to sell off 700 or more models. I mean, with the size games everyone seems to play. You aren't going to see 4 or 5 of these badboys on a table. You may still have some time to save and buy one later. _________________

					| Hi!
I think they will sell sooner or later, especially when the new game comes out.

Of course, I think they would sell faster for 10 pounds sterling, but we'll see.

					| I must be loony. I just worked out how many guardsmen I bought. In a sprue their is:
 34 Guardsmen
 14 Heavy Weapons
 6 Command
 6 Rough Riders
 5 Ogryns
 5 Ratling Snipers

 Times by 40 sprues =

 1360 Guardsmen
 560 Heavy Weapons
 240 Command
 240 Rough Riders
 200 Ogryns
 200 Ratling Snipers

Making a total of 2800 men. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!

 Cheers

					| Yeah, I want a regiment. I'm thinking Armageddon 5th Steel Legion.
 Any thoughts?

 Cheers

					| Steel Legion seems appropriate. I just read the WD piece on the first Armageddon war, and I like the sound of the SL as well.
I always look at an Epic sprue as the number of basic stands that it provides, and it works out a little more depressing. On average, you get four basic troop stands on a sprue. At eight in a formation, this means two sprues each. Suddenly twenty only gives about ten formations! I NEED MORE STUFF.... ?

					| Hi!
Yes, I know what you mean Cybershadow, thats why I always recommend getting sprues in multiples of 40 and 50. They look like a lot but once you put them together you realize its "not that much".

However in this aspect metal may be better, since, if packaged in detachments you can get more of what you really need instead of a hodgepodge of stuff you dont need.

					| Buying, 40 or 50 spruces, isn't that much. You are right. Especially it you are trying to cobble toghther a scout or termie company.
Yeah, I really hope they do the right thing, in regards to the bilster packs. I have yet to see or hear in that regard. That tiny picture of a fully painted professionally produced SM stand on the GW website does not count.

					| Hey everybody! I have some money to spend- nearly ?50 after working most of the day, and I'm wondering what sprues to get... I'm thinking 8 IG, 8 Ork, (maybe more Guard possibly if I can persuade my opponent to buy some so I can get an all Valhallan force by swapping... + bases, maybe some SM tanks, as theyl obviously be far more dear in metal....
Suggestions? But hey, remember I'm not that mad
so I'm not likely to be buying 40 sprues of 1 army!!! _________________
