You mean the spine won't grow back if it's removed? :p

Jaldon, glad to read you're alive and well.  It's my guess you will be pleased with most/all of the Eldar changes.  They seem to address many of your posted concerns.

Tyranids: Yeah you may want to check out some of the stuff ePilgrim did.  You may like it, or maybe not so much.  I haven't had a chance to play against his revised rules but something tells me it will happen soon.

I went through hernia surgery back in February and the pain pills did wonders.  My guess is they are worth any strange, incoherent posts you may leave (some of them are incoherent anyway :D ).

Take care and recover quickly.

Excellent! I'm glad to hear that the injuries will be temporary! I also want to thank you for the job you do. I'm sure that you put your life on the line more than even you are willing to admit. I'm sure the thanks you get from the people you help rescue is very gratifying, but I still want you to know that I feel safer knowing that, if I really screw up, there are professionals such as yourself out there to do your best to ensure that my mistakes don't end up being terminal ones.

Professional? After my screw up? I know better, and it shouldn't have happened. It is all Volunteer we don't get payed, but we do carry insurance :)

My wife gets a kick out of the sticker I got on my truck "Support Search and Rescue......Get Lost"

Still off topic, well Epic anyways, I have had the fortunate luck to work with the best S+R dog in the world, an Australian-Healy named "Cowboy", that dog is just amazing to watch work. He, like me, is getting pretty old and his owner is thinking of retiring him and the end of this year. I will miss him.

Also your circumstances are a reminder that good (removal of the mass near your spine) can come out of bad (40 foot fall). Good or bad, the spine is nothing to mess around with...you only get one.

I couldn't agree more, and do very much look at it this way. And as the lead Norn Queen (read Doc) said, "It is either get it taken care of now, or get a wheel chair later."

Suppose we have to close the book opn who's going to replace you now...

OH HO, so it was Tiny Tim who went after my job while I was flat on my back hmmmmmmmmmm! (Just Kidding).

Once again I am very humbled by all these well wishers, thank you very much. Now to digest some more of what you all have been up to so I can do some real work.

Thanks Once Again All

Jaldon :p

Great to hear that it was less serious than we had feared, J.  Take it easy (trust me on this, if they had to put in a chest tube, you'll be out of it for a while.  It took me almost 9 months to get back to close to normal speed), and catch up on your gaming/painting/modeling.  Oh, and don't forget to take the wife out to watch the sunset a couple times.  Good sunsets are stunning when you're on heavy painkillers :O

You know, a friend of mine had a hunting dog that would go get you a beer out of the latched metal Coleman, and knew the difference between Bud Light and Coors.  Good dogs are hard to find.

After nosing around the suggested posts, and trying to decide just how to get the ball rolling in the right direction again, I have decided...................

I am going to put up two threads.

The first will deal exclusively with Tyranid weaponry, effects of same, their names (Important as mine are a bit shabby), and this covers weapons for ALL units in the Nid Army. In this way we will at least have continuity across the entire army. Now this list is wide open for debate and additions, and hardly set in stone, but it will be a good place to start (And will include some of what I read).

The second is going to cover the Nid AVs and WEs with the proposed weapon mounts I am thinking of. Once again this list will also not be set in stone and wil be wide open for debate. This one will also include some of what I have read.

In both threads I will address the issues of what I have read concerning both weaponry and units.

Glad to be back in the saddle of Epic Nids, and once again thanks all for the well wishes.

Jaldon :p

Jaldon,

Glad to see you back and that you're spirits are high. I'm looking forward to your input on what we've been toying with.

I just wanted to let you guys know that I have heard from Jaldon. He was called away completely by surprise and totally at the last minute. He will be returning to us shortly. In the meantime, he has asked me to appoint a temporary 'synapse creature', and so I have added Chroma to the moderation team for this board.
