Me too. I have a bunch of the Familiars. Although the Great Unclean One is uhm... great the rest of the models are only average when it comes to quality and detail. The Bloodthirster and Lord of Change really aren't that great.
I got a WM bloodthirster a while ago and that also convinced me that over time I'll be replacing most of my GD's withg the Warmaster ones.

I agree for the "humanoid" Lesser Daemons like Daemonettes and Plaguebearers, they're just a little too big. ?I got a pack of Daemonettes and they just towered over the Chaos Marines.

Screamers and Flesh Hounds seem okay as Daemonic Beasts, and I use Chaos Hounds as... well, Chaos Hounds for my Lost and the Damned army.

I actually prefer to have the humanoid daemons taller than Marines, since that's how the orginals were.

I'm glad I brought up this topic now that I see others are considering the same thing.  :p

Here's a Warmaster Lord of Change and Keeper of Secrets standing with some Chaos Marines. ?It think the Warmaster Greater Daemons definitely look more like 3DC War Engines than the originals!

Can I see a man on a horse on the stand infront of the slaaneshi daemon?

That's a Slaaneshi Chaos Champion on a Steed of Slaanesh... not some stinking horse!  *laugh*

I see it now.  I thought it was a horse because it looked a dabble grey in colour not bright pink or green like slaaneshi steeds should be  :D

When it comes to deamons, I'm a little flexible with size ... the Familiars are "good", IMO.  As are the W/M deamons and SM1 deamons ...  But the SM2 GDs were TOO BIG, IMO ... like Godzilla size !!!!  The E40K deamons I liked too. Even though we very rarely fielded deamons ... Would rather spend the points on AFVs, Off-Board SPT, etc. ...  :D

*laugh*  I usually go for purples, pinks, and lavenders with my Slaaneshi forces... easier on *my* eyes.

I use warmaster miniatures in my Epic chaos armies.

Some of them are currently painted so have already appeared there.

http://www.wargamerau.com/forum/index.p ... opic=19553

the others will get in there eventually (size comparisons with infantry, flamers and all the other stuff) when I stop travelling around the country side with work for a while and get some time at home at night to paint.

The GDs are great, the fleshhounds I cut the bases apart and put them on little washers and there handeller made a good daemon prince.

The scale thing (10mm as to 6mm) with the infantry doesn't worry me at all as they are daemons, they are supposed to be big and tough.

I've used Warmaster deamonettes for my Slaaneshi army, I've cut the strips up into pairs of figures and mounted them on pennies.  They are much taller than normal troops but I quite like the look of them that way.  For the greater deamon I've used a Warhammer deamonette with an extra pair of claws added to the shoulders.  Unfortunately I don't have a camera that can take a decent photo :-(
