At the start of the year, Epic was removed from the ForgeWorld catalogue... well today I recieved my latest delivery from them (A Reaver titan) and they're now including an extra A2 sized sheet featuring the latest releases on one side, and Epic / Warmaster on the other side.

That is all... :)

Y?all just getting paranoid about Epic being dropped :;):

Is it me or are there more people on the official SG site saying they?re starting the game?

Yes, I did notice that there are quite a few new players on the SG forum. However, what we can't see is how many have stopped playing Epic.

It's good to see some recognition of Epic by FW somewhere besides its website. I wouldn't call it paranoia. I'd call it "been screwed by GW too often."

I was trawling through the defunct SG forums earlier and it is very noticeable how many people who were heavily involved  are no longer about or at least not visibly.

That said there are a lot of people starting up on the SG forum and personally since we have been forced down to WWorld by GW shutting the Sheffield GC we have had loads of interest - 3 of us from Sheffield, 3-4 existing people, 2-3 starting up and every week 2-3 people getting interested/reinterested

Whilst I morn the loss of Sheffield, it might result in a positive result for Epic. With more people playing the game at HQ we could see a head descend from the clouds and wonder what great game is entertaining so many people. When they hear that it is Epic they might determine that more support should be given.

Of course they might react the other way and want the people playing Epic playing one of the core games instead and find some way to further cut back on us.

Notice the winky!  I know plenty have stopped playing Epic.

But that's in the past and seems to me its been as bad as it will get, unless the range is discontinued.  If Chaos makes it out then I see no reason for there not to be more new players starting.

I notice BFG has a new rulebook or something.  SG is still crawling along.

Look here

The BFG core rule book is getting a reprint, with FAQs integrated! So, actual paper is possible!  ???

Lol. BFG gets new updated book(even if just FAQs added) while epic gets no more printed supplements and release of chaos(not to mention tyranids) range is in big doubt.

Do they roll on a dice who gets best treatment since it seems they can afford to give few games better support than rest...

:D  I would not necessarily start getting jealous of the treatment that BFG is getting right now. Sure, we may get a new rule book, but it is essentially a reprint with the FAQs thrown in. In terms of suppliments and minis, Epic has been the golden child in comparrison. BFG saw the Mars fleet at a Games Day in 2004, and we are still waiting for a sniff of the release. In addition, what have we seen released for the game in the last two/three years? A couple of Ork larger vessels. The Eldar Craftworld ships. Not a lot. In that time, Epic has seen Swordwind, and at least four forces released, with a load of other army lists being worked on - even if fan based.

I think hope is a good thing, even if it is misplaced.  :;):

I will take any new Epic they want to give and I will accept it when they drop it all together. Either is within their control and not mine.
