Quote (Legion 4 @ 22 2003 July,20:39) | Well when I first started playing Epic in '90, I was all for standardized rules, but then we started to do our own thing, and always based our modifications on some precedent and logic.
Plus I started playing wargames (Avalon Hill, SPI, etc., etc.,), in the early '70s, so I have a lot of hands-on experience. ?
That being said, dafrca and Neal, I understand your concerns (and feel your pain), my point stays the same, play the rules as is, play house rules (with or without cheese), play SM1, SM2, E40K, etc., but again do what works for you... ? | Legion 4, I think we agree. I will always think of the games as mine once I bought them and I will change what I want to fit my needs.
I also know that if I change too much that finding someone who will play me with the rules as I have created them will be harder then if I try to stay close to the rules as written. Regardless of the version I play, EpicA or SM1, SM2, E40K or even NetEpic :-)
