Minor update report, guys:

1. The issue of not being able to edit your posts is being looked into. I have contacted the board developers, and I have made sure that I have ticked the correct boxes here. I will keep you informed on this one.

2. Avatara. I have moved the directory of avatars from the old boards to here. However, it appears that not all made it across. It would be good to get a general idea of exactly how many did and did not make the move across. Please have a look at the avatars right now and let me know if your favourite is there or not, and if there are any that are obviously not available right now.

3. Post attachments. In the past 2+ years, we accumulated a number of attachments to these boards, which ate a considerable amount of storage. Therefore, it would be easier if I move the post attachments as I discover that they are needed. I will do this as I come across posts without their attachments, but if there are any that I have missed, or if I am not moving fast enough for you, just drop me a PM with the thread details and I will move the attachments across.

4. Yes, the colours. The current setup is temporary. Colours will change when a few other issues are sorted. Then, you will probably notice the boards colours change as I mess around with the settings.

PS - Is everyone else having as much fun as I am, playing with the 'extended stats' at the bottom? 'Member of the Moment' is currently my favourite!  :cool:

Hi. Yes, I think that it does. I cant seem to find a pattern.

I have found a new 'editing' setting. Could someone try editing a post of theirs now. The changes that I have made will either allow editing of posts at any time... or no editing possible at all!

EDIT: My own investigation seems to imply that this is now resolved. Please let me know if it continues to be a problem.

Just in case you do not see my Edit above, it does seem to be working now.

I tested 6 posts and it opened the edit window on every one!

There doesn't seem to be any Avatars in the directory of pre-loaded avatars. It says "root" right now. It was from the pre-loaded avatars that I had selected mine. I do hope those pre-loaded avatars aren't gone permanently.

EMail problems. It has been pointed out to me that the various emails that this board sends out have not been getting sent. I have now sorted out the problem.

However, please be aware that a number of emails that you would normally get have not gone out. This includes the thread reply notification. In addition, a number of people were changing their password, and then were unable to do so. I have manually approved the handful of password change requests. Therefore, if you requested a password change, it should now be done and you should be able to use the NEW passwords for your account.

My own testing implies that the email system is now working fine. However, it would be good to get a second opinion on this from you guys. Therefore, if/when you get an email from this boards, please let me know that it has got through.

It seems my "trademark" tank did not make it. However, I remember it was made long ago by a forum member (can't remember his name) so it may well have been in some different place.

It would, of course, be nice to have but this is in no way an issue for me. You no doubt have your hands full so don't go out of your way looking for it.  :)
