Good point, Bombot ... 40K rules suck and much of it is just plain silly ... IMO ! ? ? ? We play Epic/6mm in a tactical hi-tech WWII vs. Aliens sort of way ... limit the silliness ! ? ?Even if we are fighting aliens, deamons, etc. ! ?:alien: ? And the pre WWI and post war uniforms of 20's and '30s have some flair and could fit in well in our Epic/6mm Uni ! ?But no clown colors ! ?:8: ?But as always DWWFY or DWWFU !

No Pink or Lime Green means I will never use those on any figure that will be in my armies.

If I ever paint a 40k Space Marine again, he will be pink. ?There?s no point in taking 40k seriously.

I actually think the Emperor?s Children scheme looks good, but the scheme I have in mind is just flat out tasteless.

Has anyone ever seen these?:

Yes, I had seen those SoB before. I was in shock and horror at them.  :p

Almost as bad as this Marine:

I think Silly has it's place and serious has it's. The real key is to make sure everyone is on the same Sillyness level for the game.

Played a 40k game once with some friends where one guy created a chart and we placed 10 markers on the board. After each player's turn, we rolled on the chart and saw what if anything happened and then rolled a 10 sided die to see what marker it happened at. It was way silly, fun but silly. But we all knew what we were getting into. We knew it was a sily game.

just my .02

That pink marine is awesome.  It looks like a killer mannequin to boot.

Don?t worry L4, I won?t be giving any Epic marines the pink treatment.  They would just look like pink blobs with my painting skills ? that?s not silly, it?s just rubbish :p

40k on the other hand I have the whole chapter history worked out.  But there is a long queue of things I have to paint first!  Plus I don?t actually play 40k at the moment   :(8:

Glad to report L4, neither are mine. They are just images I have stashed to pull out once in a while and scare the good little painters out there.  :p
