I decided to start working in resin FW models to help boast the size of my nid army. ?The original plan was to use their multipart rippers to give me more Raveners. ?However before they came I found a load of spare GW rippers and when they did come they were much too big for Raveners (heck if they were a bit fatter then they would be perfect Trygons).
So instead I decided to convert the larger ones into Malanthropes (count as Tyrants).
Here are two pictures of the WIP. ?I'm waiting for the green stuff to dry before I paint it.
and here is what FW says they should look like.

Wow that looks great. I really wish I had more time to do my Nids. More and more people seem to be making new Nids each week.

Thanks for the replies guys. Should have it painted buy end of tomorrow.
As for the tenticle face, it is the feeder tenticle genestealer head, well the front bit. Alas I only have one more so I'm only going to have two Malanthropes unless I try green stuffing some.

Definitely cool. Should make a great Tyrant counts-as.
And thanks for the size comparison. I was planning to order some of the rippers for Raveners but they are way to big.

Thats okay NH. I extended slightly with GS (you can probably see the seem). It is also the biggest of the three. The other two are about 75% and 50% of the size of this one. I'm planning on using three of them on a single 2p "stand". Bursting out of the ground, as a count as Trygon.
