Nice pics Tas (and you know wha I think of the dig, as I own one! :D ).
Curious - why does your blog often have as it's last page one with no posts in it? Or are there posts invisible to Maltese viewers? ??? :p

Looks great Tas. The addition of the Kaizer in the corner all makes it look very typical of the time (well if that time had ever been that is :p ... erh... Now I'm confusing myself...). As a final touch you could add some dust and scratches if you've got the right photoshop plugins

Thanks for the heads up. I'll just have to interlace Armor-Piercing with Tracers and the Incendiary. Something will get though that way.  :p

Serious, looks great!

I agree with Warmaster. The layout does have that 1880's feel to it. Even without the scratches. However that would make it look even more authentic. Not too much though. Some people on the web are too heavy handed and it distracts from the photo.

Thnaks guys, and yes I agree- some aging is still needed.

I tried to introduce some noise but that was exactly the problem - my program was inserting too much or too course a noise so it didnt look right.  grrrr....I did add a small motion blur (of 2 pixels) to get that old and not so good printer feeling to it.

I really enjoyed doing it and will no doubt do another one for the Prussian "Iron Cavalry" or something soon.

For those who Serve, those who have served and those still on patrol:

Ode to the Fallen

They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow,
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Lest We Forget

Bows head for 60 seconds......

.......glad to see that ANZAC day is still a big deal. Am sure my uncle & cousin, both of whom served in the RAAF, will have done something to remember this day too.

Brilliant job, Tas.    That one dig in the foreground on the left looks like a V2 with a gondola slung undernetah.
