On a side note, Jon from GZG has been working on a new system for a long while. When it comes out I believe he will replace Stargrunt and Dirtside with the new rules. But we shall see.

Really? ?I was a SG2 player for a long time and thought it was a great system that flowed well. ?I'll be very interested to see what replaces it

I believe that if you knew the SG2 system you will recognize most of the new system. They have just been tweeked for different feels.

Some things are the same, like for example the die shift is going to be the same (from what I have been told) and the overall play sequence. But some things from DS and some new things are also folded into the whole.

I was not on the development team so I can only go by what has been said.

Hi!

Thats interesting news. I always thought DS 2 was a good set of rules that needed a little more streamlining.

Perhaps the next generation of rules will be real rockin'....  :;):

I too liked DS2 but thought that SG2 played better as a game.  The system for designing weapons and troops worked very well and the die shift mechanism was very intuitive.  The SG2 opposed die roll system kept all players involved well too

I wanted to share because I like how they turned out, not to take credit for someone elses work.

They have been working on them for a while. I think it grew out of the FMAS rules and then morphed into an adjustment of the Dirtside rules to address the chit vs. die roll thing.

Last Rumor I heard (and I count it a rumor) was that the new Full Thrust will come first, followed by the FMAS/Stargrunt rules. But all I can say is I have been waiting for the "Bugs Don't Surf" book for more then eight years.  :p

Thanks Dafrca - and I can't find any wrong with your paint job. I'd perhaps add a light drybrush, but that works for me. :D :D
