Yes, in the US Military, they do Day/Month/Year and use metric ... it's really just a better system ...

So true!

And is it just coincidence that 40k uses inches while the superior epic uses cm?  ???  :D

Enlightened? Considering the habit in question hails from the dark ages (that way any oncoming people were on the side of the usual weapon arm) I would hardly call it enlightened. And don't get me started on the Imperial measurements...  :devil:

Why do the Americans have to do everything backwards? :oops: I've been here 5 months and I STILL keep getting muddled about the date.

Frankly both ways are wrong! ?The ISO standard is ccyy-mm-dd. ?that way dates always sort correctly.

It has the added benefit of not being confused for any other format.

Yes, Tas, I remember our mortar crews using "mils" ... more accurate ! ?And your point about 40K vs. Epic measuring is very good ... Markco ! :laugh: ?And my current choice of side arm is a Colt Commander L/W, with .45 cal hollow points ... :;): ?But I very rarely carry ... on occasions my boss asks me if I'm "packing" ... :laugh:  :o0

I prefer an assault rifle.  Give me 7.62 RK 62 any day. :p Well, actually, make that RK 92.

Well, that makes intuitive sense too, that's just backwards. And has the added bonus that if you happen to get cryogenically frozen then the year is the first piece of information you're going to want...

Actually, just using Imperial measurements here mostly makes sense - in England we're in transition and will pick and mix measurements all over (much has changed to metric, but things like distances are still in miles).

The one thing I really, really don't get about America is why does everyone use pounds when talking about their weight when there are perfectly good stone to do the job for you? It's like being asked your height and saying "seventy two inches"!

Lord =I=
