Got an e-mail my copies of Hammer's Slammers VOL.1 is being sent ! ? :D ? So Doug, Maksim & Tom stand by ! :) ? It's available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc. ! ?:D ? VOL.1 is a compedium of all Drake's Slammer stories + a new one and some pics/drawings etc. !!! ?Also recommend Treadaways Hammer's Slammers Handbooks/rules; pt.1 available now too, and pt.2 - Hammer's Anvil will be out in spring ! ? :cool: ?Get'm while their hot ! ? Alois and the Major will not be pleased if you don't ! ?:o0 ? Being the only resident former Slammer onboard ... I'd know ! ? Anyone who want's more intell LMK - Rok31@webtv.net

Just to confirm L4, there is no point to me buying really because I have all the booksyes?
And if Vol1 has all Drake's stuff init, whats going to be Vol2 ??????

You just cant outrun a 20cm powergun!

I should have it in my hands next week ! But I think there is 1 new story + artwork ... so I'll let you know !  And I look forward to Treadaway's pt.2 !  Loved pt.1 !   Any true former Slammer or Slammer groupy should have them both !  :D   Now if Jon/GZG would just do those 6mm Hammers ! ???  Soon ! :;):

Remember that GZG only does the HS infantry - the 15 mm and 25 mm vehicles are produced by Old Crow. I think you would have better luck with a proxy hunt. The GZG 6 mm NSL troops would make a good HS infantry, IMO. Plus the range is big enough that there is lots of variety for other mercenaries and planetary forces. Just need some farmer types with shotguns!

Yep, I think NAC were based on H/S, Inf. Skimmers and all ! ?However, I've had e-discussions with Jon/GZG ... he said he'll do Slammers in 6mm as soon as he can get around to it ... And they'll be 6mm versions of the Old Crow, which are the ones in Treadaway's Book(s) and the H/S Grunts are GZG ... ?So no proxie hunt is needed, just time and a little luck ... :D ?But most of the GZG AFVs would work for other Mercs and PDFs as in Drake's and Treadaway's books. ?GHQ Mujadeen could make good "Farmers" too ! :;):

FLASH TRANSMISSION !  Just got my first copy of VOL.1 !!!!  3 more to follow soon ( for Doug, Maksim, Tom) !!!!!!   Great book, 395 pages, all of Drake's Slammer stories, novels, commentaries + a new story "A Death in Peacetime" !   And ALL the pics inside are from Treadaways Handbook !  So all the "fluff" is consistant !  (G/W) Take Note ...  :D   Buy it ... or you'll be getting a visit from the White Mice ! :o0  :D  :laugh:

Had time at work to peruse VOL.1 ... in the book jacket, I quote, "This three-volume set collects all the Slammers short fiction and novels into a set of uniform editions, and presents a new, previously uncollected piece of fiction in each volume. ? ? ? ? ? ? ?This first volume collects the existing short fiction, along with the background material from the original Slammers collection. The new story in this volume, "A Death in Peacetime," chronicles an important event in the Hammer's Regiment history ... an event that has been implied, but never fully explained... until now. " ? :o0 ? So it looks like VOL.2 and 3 will have the other novels ... At Any Price, Counting the Cost, Rolling Hot, The Warrior, The Sharp End and Paying the Piper. ?All full of action, tactics, battles, intrigue, etc., etc. ?... oh yes and a little sex ! ?:blush:   Plus some of Treadaway's excellent pics from his Handbook/Rules pt.1 !   I like it ! :D

While gaming in my War Room ... no eating, no smoking and NO sex ...  The Hammer stories are about soldiers ... Treadaways rules are about using Slammers in wargaming ... There is no SEX in the War Room ! :laugh:
