I concur, the prices are okay. They might be a little higher than other companies' minis, but I don't mind paying a little extra for high quality.

Quote (darkone26 @ 14 Mar. 2006 (07:45)) | I just looked at the reply for a company I wanted to hear about regarding success.
I should have know better that to ask a vague question
I got Irregular and Heroics, both have limited sci fi but high on historical. ?So not very good examples and I made that a point on the TMP thread.
The miniatures and companies repectively look fine to me and have a balanced range for dips in the market when one range can support the other. Nice idea but not really much being done on the sci fi bit. ?So again rather disappointed that such examples were thrown back.
Relating to your note Primarch: I did think about the selling cheaper but the risk is too high if the interest is no there for the support of more new miniatures. ?My other concern was the representative/distribution part, its a killer. ?The prices were lower in that profit was low but I had something to play around with to ensure the I alone am not supporting DRM developments, but when the distribution points came up it was not going to work. One point that was given to me as a bit of advice was that people make more money if they did the work themselves and got people to take the product for their own shelves and go to conventions. ?So with current costs and the support I have to do it cannot be done, I need my job to finance this and I cannot survive by doing DRM alone as a form of income. ?So I was caught between stolls as you would say. ?The 6mm scifi arena isnt a place to make loads of money but you can make the best of what you have if you can find the right way.
Another good point you made primarch is the cost, I cant control it if I am after a specific standard which is why I have gone the way I wanted in the first place.
I could control the cost if Bob Naismith wasnt the sculpter or limit the ranges to say 10 a race but I dont want to do that either.... ?any suggestions ?
I will carry on with whats happening at the moment as I feel that this way DRM is doing its best to change a few things in our little 6mm sci fi world.
So no price raises or drops unless they are typo mistakes as someone kindly pointed out and more miniatures.... how does that sound? | Hi!
Agreed, the retorts using lines that are "sci-fi" poor wasnt very well direct or a fair comparison, but gamers like to bitch....
Darkone, I fully understadn the price approach thats why I prefaced my respose with " Doug is the arbiter of price". You know how much it costs and what margin it can be sold at. No one can argue this. So if thisisthe price that came out, I consider it the "prudent" price as well as balanced.
Darkone, one thing I must stress to you, while it is good to hear what people have to say, NO FORUM IS REPRESENTATIVE OF YOUR BUYING PUBLIC. Remember this, you can hear what is p[osted, but do not immediately act on such things since its is mere gut reaction and no objective data will back it up.
Once you start selling and money comes in THAT will tell you more clearly than anything if the price is high or not.
For now stay the current course and release the lines. You have plenty of time to adjust later.

Sound advice that will ba gladly taken.
Its exactly what I intended to do.
As for TMP, I must confess it would have been interesting to have got a decent answer purely because it would be nice to see a working model which would show me a few things that I would like to have seem DRM benefit from.
Unfortunately the world is a lot smaller than I thought!
So first lets get the miniatures out there which is happening as we speak. I need to update the website with regards to ordering and models available. Then while the rules are being worked on the next release will be worked on for end of May.

Hi Primarch,
Yes, Doug has TWO web sites up.
Check out my blog (there's a link in my signature) where I have links to Doug's sites posted.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Yes as Maksim pointed out I do have two sites though my own Darkones realm has suffered with the amount of DRM activity I have had to deal with over the last week or so.
For anyone wanting to order minis, these can now be ordered via Heritage Studios and myself either check out the link provided by Paul or www.heritage-studios.com I know that Heritage Studios now have the miniatures in stock.
