The dice by each unit represent the amount of actions points (APs) available to each unit.
The amount of APs a unit has helpo to dictate / limit what sorts of actions a unit can take. More experienced units have more options although all units can take basic actions such as moving, shooting or engaging in close combat. It's the more sophisticated variations of those basic actions that require better leaders and crew.
I have to be out the door in a few minutes. Wish me luck, I'm stopping by a job interview and FAX'ing a few more applications out.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi MarkCo, DS, Jaldon, Tas, L-4 and Gang,
Thanks for the well wishing. I really appreciate it.
It looks like my roommate, Larry and I will be moving into a new apartment in the next two to three weeks. We're still waiting on the credit checks to come back, but short of that, we're a shoe-in and the new apartment is marked improvement over the current one.
One of the key improvements is that it is a much better plan than the current floorplan we live in. And that means...
I can host gaming events!
It has a ton more floorspace and a full-sized washer and dryer, which makes the domestic chores much easier. I despise laundromats.
Diana and I spoke yesterday and it sounds like she's coming to terms with the surgery.
As far as the job goes, it's a waiting game once you turn in the paperwork and luckily I'm a pretty patient guy.
Today I have plans to do some domestic chores and writing.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Party at Maksim's! ? ? ? ?
Too bad you're on the opposite coast from me. ? |
If you end up on the West Coast, let me know and I'll host you. I offered my place to Tas when he was here only circumstances conspired otherwise.
I have visited several Epicomms members including Dafrca who is quite a distance South of me.
When I'm fully back on my feet, I have plans to visit Primarch in Puerto Rico and several of the guys in the UK.
So y'all come on by, I can find you a bunk (probably the couch, a sleeping bag or a guest bed) and feed you a few squares a day.
I'm really looking forward to moving. The new place is a big improvement. I'll probably buy a second fold-up table so I'll have two of them to put head to head for along gaming area or side-by-side for a big miniatures area (4'x6' or 4'x8' playing area).
The new place is also right by a light rail station (local public transportation system), which stops by the AMTRAK train station (goes all over the country) and I can further help folks to the local airport (has international flights through San Francisco and a few direct-to-Sacramento flights) if they need it.
In other words, good things ARE possible!
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi M/S,
*** What sort of job are you going for? Similar to current one? ***
Enjoy your new flat. And glad that things with Diana are slowly getting back to normal.
Best wishes, James.

Hi James and Gang,

Well, ideally I've applied for a California State job with the Franchise Tax Bureau, but they aren't reliable. They probably also won't hire again until much later in Spring (several months at best bet).
Right now, I'm working several part-time jobs, but the work is unreliable and I'm having a very difficult time making ends meet.
I'm a former pharmacist by military standards, which makes me an apprentice or technician by civilian standards (I have the equivalent of a BS in pharmacology rather than a Masters or PhD.) so I'm shooting for a pharmacy position. Right now, I'm looking for a hospital or closed door pharmacy (the kind that provide for nursing homes or do mail-order service) position.
And to be honest, I've applied for several positions that pay considerably less to help make ends meet. I may be waiting tables or be a grocery cashier soon depending on what comes up first.
At this point, I just want a regular and reliable job to pay the bills. I don't need a very fancy job, just enough to cover my meager bills reliably. With a paid-off car and no big debts, I'm in good shape.
I'm not going back to teaching. I'm done with that.

Well, it's not ours yet, but the new flat looks very possible and I can't wait. I'm ready for a move.
And I'm glad that Diana seems more in hand. I am still very worried about her though.
Thanks for the post again, James.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.
