I do like the fortress.

Me too - they used it in lots of shoots over the years.
I love how it grows naturally out the the cliffs - very nice blending

thanks for those, ?I have thought this before but seeing these just reminds me, ?its so wierd how idfferent we paint models these days.

I agree.

The current fashion seems to be edge highlighting which done well actually can work quite well, when done badly doesn't work at all.

Which is why I wish the Epic Armageddon book had being full of these kind of pictures (or even these pictures) rather than the (cartoony) artwork from the collectable card game.

Hi!

A friend of mine back in the day actually MADE that castle for the squats.

It was a favorite terrain for years.  :D

I've always liked that Dwarf "Squat" fortress too!

I once scoped out the parts needed for it, but have never built one although I drew out plans and cut up most of the needed pieces.

I also wish that the Epic Armageddon book has more photos of painted miniatures.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

SM2/TL era was very "cartoony" ... we managed to avoid that kind of stuff even then as we started with SM1 ! :;):

Hi!

The fellow who made it cut it out of one piece of foam. Did a great job. I still think it exists somewhere. I wish I could find it.

Wow - that is even more impressive.  I have wondered a few times on how it was made and always assumed the opposite.

Apart from us, I'm sure Darkone would also love it for his Epic museum :D

Hi!

Makes you wonder where all this GW terrain for epic is. They made quite a bit back in the day.

Anybody know where they store such stuff?
