I knew it!  All the female gamers I've ever known were imports to the US (or were roleplayers only).  They do exist, they're just hiding in Europe!  Yet another reason to make a trip that direction sometime soon.

Sorry Chris, I'm not in Rome (so no curse, right?), I'm from a small town called Carrara (it's famous for the white marble, do you know it?), in Tuscany, about 100Km N-W of Florence; and I actually live in Parma, Emilia-Romagna, about 120/130Km S of ?Milan...

They do exist, they're just hiding in Europe!

Make sure that trip is to the southern Europe. I live in the (almost) extreme north and haven't seen any 'round here. Several female military modelers but no wargamers.

Yep. Anybody below 18 is a little girl, between 18 and 21 a girl, between 21 and 24 a big girl and over 24 a woman.  :alien:

That is interesting, Icon ... WWI was much more Tramatic on Europe than the US.  And the large costly battles in Italy like the Isonzo/Caporetto Campaign are not as well known in the USA ...               And at 49, I prefer to be known as the "alter Kampfer" ...  :D  Not Old Fart ! :oops: :;):

We've got a few different female gamers locally.  RPG'ers, Magic Players, a couple wargamers. My girlfriend has a Sisters of Battle army and a Confrontation Lions army.

An old fart would be someone of my age Icon, and at 38 I'm a bit older than Mojarn. Although I speak Italian, I've just realised I can't find the correct term to translate that.  :down:

As a former military professional, I sort of pride myself on knowlegde of military history.   :D  And yes, Alter Kampfer = old fighter !  Good guess, Icon ! :;):  And to English-speakers ... "Old Fart" refers to a grumpy old person in a humorous light ! :laugh:
