I still remember reading the Knights of the Dinner table comic that started it all. ?
When weird Pete put the stuffed chipmuck on the table and said everything was one for one scale. ?Then all the players panicked because there was a chipmuck on the table!
That was so funny.

Exactly!
KODT is excellent - always reminds me of Monty Python and the Holy Gril "Lets not go to Camelot...it is a Silly Place!"

Good one Maxsim - thanks for the Heads up. ? Super Smurfs they are!
In related news, here is my new Mortarion figure. ?Its unique because: * It went from raw metal in the mailbox to a completed figure in 24hrs - a Tas first! (I have been looking for this one for ages, and refused to pay ebay stupid prices) * Its my first play at using sand for basing
I went with a more traditional "Grim Reaper" look than the usual manky leper appearance, not only because its dfferent, but also because he is not only a Primarch - he is also my new "Death Hunter Fairy" in Fairy Meat! Hows that for economy of lead!
I wasnt happy with the flesh colours, they look too dark but a rotting flesh just didn't work for me, and skeletal white didnt look right either so in the end I left it at this until I get a better idea. ?
The tones dont rightly reflect the number of drybrushing and shading that went on either. ?It got the look I wanted but not all the depth I expected after all that work though. ?Oh well. I like the 3 simple colours I went with and the brown-green-grey go well together I think.
Thats now 2 Daemon Primarchs I've done this year (Angron earlier in the year). ?I have 1 more to paint (Fulgrim), and 1 to find somewhere (Magnus) but my two favourite heretics are done. ?Oh well, at least 2006 has a focus!
Enjoy! (And yes I'm happy for a copy to go into De'Aynes, as there isnt a Mortarion in there!)

Nice work, Paul! And Mortarion is incredible! As for the tri base - I used a GW 25mm - does it fit?

Fantastic Mortarion, Tas! I really like your color scheme. Nice tripod, too.
