In a wholly selfish move, I've just posted a Human APC as todays figure.
Selfish because, whilst its stilla great model, its probably the least "exciting" model I've painted thus far and my girlfreind gets back from Uni today so it may afford me a little time off from DRM related emails
More aliens and slightly more "exciting" (I hate saying that - they're all great figs & exciting as they're new.. but you know what I mean!) tanks coming soon. I've also got different paint schemes on some of these earlier figures to post at some point - you'll know christmas festivities have over run my painting plans when these start appearing!
have a good weekend!

Hi All,
I think with the amount of emails that Paul must be getting its about time to come clean..... ?I must confess that I wasnt expecting so much attention though I must admit I cant complain.
Over a year and a half ago some of us met at Salute 2004 and at the time I was trying to find sculpters for some work, my idea being that I would create some 6mm figures. ?So far the models have been worked on since last February and for those who were in the inner circle, I did mention it back then that I was working on stuff myself. ?So now you are seeing some of that work actually see the light of day.
Although Dark Realm minatures is starting with three races there is much more planned some items I hope Paul will show off on his website when he paints them which I will keep a secret. Although I dont like to make promises I would like to say that I hope to at least put some rules to these models though this was something slightly different from my original plan and comes as an extra bonus to what I really wanted to do.
Dont get me wrong I really like Fanatics/FW Epic models and I am sure some would agree that the efforts I go to get rare stuff for epic would back up my support for any 6mm minis that Fanatic care to release as well as what they have done in the past.
My personal goal was to try and keep that 6mm torch going and bring out some cool minis and put some smiles on peoples faces. ?I dont expect that everyone will like everything I try to release but that wont stop me trying.
So there you have it, now you know who it is and I am sure I am on the inquisitions hit list now but I only mean well. ?For those of you wanting to know about prices, they will not be expensive at all, at least I will promise that it will not break the bank and I will try to ensure that quality is as good as I can get it. ?
The website along with my own will be up in the coming week because I dont want to cramp Paul's style as he has done some excellent work and for now I prefer the spotlight on his site ? ?
As soon as I feel that Paul has shown as many pictures as he can before Christmas I will put mine up for the whole thing. ?There is a lot to do but at least you all know. ?Thanks Paul for taking the brunt of it all, I clearly underestimated people's reactions, so much for taking things slowly!
Doug

May I hereby chime in with a hearty congratulations to Doug on this Project.
I'll admit my bias since I've known him as a mate for a good few years & I've been involved in this project in a number of ways for some time, but the line of miniatures we can expect from DRM are great & Doug's going to great lengths to make sure the detail is as high as can be achieved, sending masters back to the sculptors for re-working despite the costs of re-mastering & moulding perfectly adequate (sp? sry - too ealry on a sunday!) figures.
Its cool to be painting the line, but also a responsibility - I feel if the figures dont look top notch, its my fault so let me know if theres any that need re-doing - I'm happy to take critiques & will take Epicomm'ers comments to heart to produce fine studio pieces for Doug.
That all said, A Jackhammer IFV is now online... DRM Previews, page 3
And Doug, Feel free to release your site as soon as its ready!

Echoing Tuffskull here - cheers Doug! I've got a very small and fluffy role in this, but dont worry, Doug and Tuff in particular aren't letting me introduce anything too weird. And they havn't yet heard about the giant hovering turnip-shaped - oops! Mum's the word...
