Hydras. For me (being a big Imperial servant) its the one thing I add everywhere. On its own it finds itself attached to everything, in formations of three they trundle about everywhere.

50 points left over? Wheel out a hydra.

Whats it for all of you?

We still use the SM1 Over-the-Top rule ... and roll for it ... usually a Haywire Off Board Support Missile ... but I'm old school ! :blues: If any one out there doesn't know this rule - you have not done your Epic homework and will be reported to the =][= !

Commonly played:

SMs - another character
Chaos - daemons for the pool or a pact
Orks - no common choice as I like them all

Played less, but enough to know:

IG- Hydra
L&D - cultists/transport
Nids - Mycetic spore

I played Eldar regularly during some of the playtesting, but not since it settled down, so no set pick there.  Still not experienced enough with Tau.  Of course, neither of those have cheap "add-on" points really.

[Edit:  Apparently, I misunderstood the intent of the post.  I thought it was asking for the things used for filler points]

Hi!

The rule is cool, i still use it too!  :D

I usually go for some Thudd guns, rapiers or tarantulas with spare points. Of course this depends on the army I'm using.

Agreed that is a cool rule.

Sometimes my spare points goes to something I haven't used in a while, like medics and techmarines, as well as the usual rapiers, tarantulas and thudd guns.

Now, in actual response to the question:

Big Gunz.  Can't get enough of them.  Big formations, little formations, warbands loaded up on them, speed freeks warbands packed with them, with soopa gunz, with zzap guns, or just plain.

Yes Hydras.  And maybe Bombard batteries...

For marines - more captains!

For orks - more ork infantry! Tough cheap and versatile.

Unsure about the others so far...

Hi!

True, they are a good choose for loose points.
