Thanks V, I'm struggling with getting the legs to look dynamically posed in a way that makes sence... ?
What method did you use to get the nice depth to the metallics on this fighting-machine?

Hi Tas,
I want to try something more spectacular myself with those legs.
As for the colour - easy:
1 - black undercoat
2 - chainmail base coat
3 - a very light application of brass to some areas - a sort of thickish drybrush
4 - thined flesh wash all over.

V - I finally got my Tripod into a pose I like (but now it doesnt fit onto a base darn it!) and undercoated it: hopefully you'll have pics of the Tripod this time tomorrow!
BTW I have been using some new Tamiya paints a lot today (as opposed to old style GW ones). I REALLY like them!

Ahh...now I re-read it I see the word thinned
That would explain my rusty old looking Tripod...
