A while ago, we raised the possibility of having an EpiComms get together and Epic gaming day. This was initially put on for September/October time, but was then delayed. The Sheffield Gaming Centre was then booked by Dysartes for the 3rd January 2006.

I am therefore trying to get an idea of how much interest there is for this kind event, as we need to know now whether we should go ahead with it. Can I get some comments and commitments from people as to who would be go to this? Also, I may be able to drive, and could therefore fill up the car for a contribution for petrol costs and go from 'North of London' to the event if this was required.

Thanks.

Pity it isn't slightly later, as term starts on the 9th- I guess I wouldn't mind coming back slightly early for the Epic event of the year though! :D

Count me in (and for the lift as well Iain!)- I'll be sure to pick up lots of Epic goodies when I head home for Christmas....  :8):

Cheers, ~G

Yup, I'm certainly looking to go. 3rd of January is a Tuesday right? Means a day off work, but thats not really a problem. I have an epic player round here who wouldnt mind turning up too if thats OK? His name's Fraggle/Matt, but he aint a huge forum addict but does like epic... I may even be able to drum up someone else (lackofbrain if anyone remembers him from the old 'nid playtest stuff), so I could potentially provide 3 players...

Err, if anyone needs a lift from North Wales, I'll be driving.

I was thinking we could have badges with your real name, forum handle, and any other useful info. Could be entertaining, like you have at school reunions and the like :D (simple things...).

What sort of schedule would we have on the gaming centre, do we know? When it opens and closes, etc, as that will determine what we can do really. After the discussions in other threads about big games, one of them could be good, although we would need to be wary of time for it...

I'll try and work something but I seriously doubt it

Damn!  3rd of January I shall be travelling back from France having spent Christmas with my family there.  Damn, damn, and thrice damn! (Note - the damn is not about having been in France, rather missing the meet up.  Of course  :D )

And I just know you would have enjoyed as series of very easy victories against my Epic Iron Hands... :p

If this goes ahead, would it be possible to have a 6mm painting & converting clinic as well as gaming, so we can compare notes on small scale sillyness??
I've not done anything silly in 6mm for almost a year, and I'm aching for an excuse!

Tuffskull, don't go on with that thought - do you know the cost of a flight all the way from Malta?    :p  :D
