Still not liking any of this new look Tau stuff. The current stuff looks great, nice and minimalist, but GW has done as GW does and over designed everything to "make it better". We'll have Chaos Dwarf beards and hats on Auns next! Less is more.

I think it's a mixed result overall. I like some units better and some not as much.
I do, however, like the fact that the Battlesuits now look like they could actually fit a 6' tall pilot in them.

[nitpicking]True as that may be, they didn't really need to look like they could fit a 6' tall pilot in them - Tau aren't as tall as humans generally, so their battlesuits would only really have to accomodate a pilot that's maybe about 5' 6" tall.[/nitpicking]

Hm. My mistake. I thought they were as tall as humans but much thinner. Maybe they just look taller because they are so skinny.

Remember, the Air Caste are low/micro-gravity creatures. That makes them much taller and thinner than even Fire Warriors (who are the brawniest of the bunch).
Plastic Firewarriors are slightly smaller than a Cadian (a little shorter, and a bit skinnier), and much smaller than a Catachan.

FW - and much much smaller than a marine.
Aircaste - those are wierd bizzare looking beings... gravity hasn't taken their toll... lol... (hmm...) anyway, I think of the SW Episode 2 clone manufacturing guys when I think of the aircaste!

The Tau & Kroot are the first "real" aliens in 40K ... the rest are Fantasy rocketed into Sci-fi ! But that still works for me !
