Hi Steele, While not achieving Jaldon's quality of batreps, I have assumed some of his methods. ?When doing a batrep I make "shorthand" notes while playing, basically which formation activates, their orders, nearest terrain piece they move to, who they shoot and what dmage is done. (Would be great to have a referee do this but I dont have that option). ?Then write it up in word before copy and paste to post.

I have found that the easiest way to do this is to take loads of digital photos of the battle, and a digital recording of you narrating events.
I also make sure that I take a photo to seperate out the turns - for example a picture of the beer signifies the end of one turn and the beginning of the next. Otherwise, the various pictures tend to be difficult to seperate into turns three and four. I also try to state picture numbers in my narrative to tie the images with the description later.
This all means that I only spend a couple of minutes at the end of each turn and during the turn, taking pictures of the sections of the battlefield and describing the action. Reconstructing it all again later is quite easy too.
