Yes, I thought it would make a good Squat (Oops!, I said the "S" word !), Land Train too. Fortunately, I have 2 of G/W's, gee, I won't have to spent $100.00 ! I can save it for E-A & F/W ...

As a new comer I have only just picked up on this thread. I would just like to add my voice in support of DSII by GZG. When SM and TL went down the tubes, I bought GZG infantry to swell the ranks and picked up DSII out of interest. When E40K appeared I began buying figures from GW again but hated the rules intensely (I was one of jervis's repeated objectors) As a result when I began Golgotha

I began using DSII for surface combat. I reorganised all my stuff to fit into the framework of modern military thinking and never looked back

I thoroughly recommend these rules. They play quickly, have few look up charts and yet are still relatively detailed. Nice. HOWEVER since having been sent a copy of the original version of E-A by Jervis following a long discussion of epic rule sets, I was tempted. The new set has several things in common with DSII and gives a good game. I have been getting the updates and am severely tempted to revert to the GW rules. My own take is that there is little to choose between DSII and E-A and that both should be in the 6mm future warfare gamers library. BTW GZG infantry are THE alternative figures in this scale. They are truly superb. I have many examples on my website.

Hi!
I concur chubbybob, DSII is a great game. Perhaps the best 6mm sci-fi game out there. Much richer and realisitic than GW rules.
Have you ever seen my epic to DSII conversions? I'm in the process of updating them, but I had a large file with everything epic had at the time all placed in DSII stats and game mechanics.

I still have a lot of my DSII stuff I bought. I loved that game. Sad to say, it does lack for support both from the outside (local store) and from GZG. They have been talking about an upgrade to include their own alien races for so long I never expect it to show up.
I am interested to see the shift from chit pull to dice off that they also have been saying will come.

Hi!
"bugs dont surf", is the tentative name for that supplement. I dont think it will ever see the light of day though.
I think I have a file somewhere of a prototype of a dice system to substitute the chit drawing system.

GZG rules & figs are very good. If we were not playing (our version) of G/W Epic, we'd play DSII. And Bob's site is very well done and inspirational, I like his TO&Es, conversions & models in general.

Primarch | Yah, the "bugs don't surf" was the working title given to the project. Then after a year or so I notice Jon does not even talk about it. When he does it is to make sure someone knows it is the lowest priority he has. He has put more effort into his FMA and new versions for Full Thrust rules.
Sad to see so little effort made to support what could be a great game.

Hi!
He's a self professed "one man band" as far as GZG goes, thus projects move slowly and in the direction that makes the most money, which I think is Full Thrust, given the great quantity of supplements it has seen (great quantity relative to other GZG games, of course).
