Nope, they were stupid.  Seller didn't initally say epic or 40k (probably assuming that the pic would be enough), but did say it was epic when asked.  I'm not sure what happened to the sale.

Just curious, Mad at whom? The seller for posting an Epic mini or at yourself for being so silly as to assume it was 40k?

:p

I would probably be mad at the seller. However, this would never happen to me since I know better, I don't play 40k and I would never buy just one epic rhino. I could see it happening to a parent who didn't know the difference.

As a side note, I recently won on ebay a load of rhinos that would make Primarch proud; I won 71 rhinos in one lot!

If I was the seller, I'd almost be willing to put the little bitty Epic THawk into a box big enough to hold a 40k THawk, with a note saying 'I told you it was EPIC scale.  Thanks for the $500 for a $15 model!'  I'd also include a printscreen of the sale showing my statement that it was an Epic model, however many days it was before the close of the auction.

Then again, I get accused of channeling the soul of the devil on occasion.:p

I have seen this quite a few times with Epic stuff. The prices bid are way our of line for what is there and then you see it relisted.

I did have someone pop into our GW with a pack of Epic Battle Wagons, he thought he was ordering 5 40K scale ones. You would have thought he would have worked it out from the price... Average Vehicle goes for ?20, pack of 5 ?8.....Hmmm

I haven't had any bad experiences, hobby-wise, but I did hear about an Epic-scale Thunderhawk that some yahoos on eBay bid up to several hundred GBP.  Evidently they missed the response to the question that it was the metal EPIC thunderhawk, not the metal 40k one.:D

A responsible seller should have terminated the auction at that stage IMO.

At some point you have to draw the line and protect idiots from themselves. No matter how much money they may have...

Brings to mind the best insult I know in Japanese: bakka!  (means anything from idiot to fething moron, depending on inflection)

Since we're talking about GW... instead of bakka shouldn't that be dakka!  :p
