Thanks for the pics guys. I have been waiting for those Eldar flyers for a long time, so thats my bank balance stuffed :D

Will Hayes saying he wants to make the Warhounds bigger is a little worrying, isnt that going to suck for anyone who has the current ones? I guess they could just be different builds, but it still seems a little weird. Ah well, as long as they eventually make a Vampire I'll be happy...

I think HAyes' point was that everything else they produce is at a 1:5 scale with 40k, whereas the current FW Titans (including the Reavers, I might add) are only at 1:6.5 scale - about a 30% difference in size.

Nice Eldar Flyers!

Very impressed with that Slayer Sword winning Land Raider. ?They've actually given it to something that DESERVES it, for a change! (Ooh, controversial! )

I must admit I'm a bit confused about the changes to the War Hound too, I'm not sure they're necessary. ?I really like BOTH versions, SG & FW (you could have 2 Titan Legions armies - one Lucius pattern, the other Mars! :D )

I'm surprised they're releasing the Chaos sprue untouched, they hacked the Ork, Marines and Guard ones about a bit, I'd have thought they'd have done the same with the Chaos to be honest. ?But it's kind of good they haven't!

Anyway, thanks for the reports and the pics. ?Hopefully I'll be able to go next year (when I'm no longer a student and can afford it! )

Glad to see EpiComms back online!

I look forward to more pics from Gamesday & especially the Golden Demon Entries - did anyone spot anything entered in epic scale this year?

Glad to see the Angry Mob Figures for Mordheim previewed at last - especially since I accidentally uploaded my own WIP shots of them to my new site yesterday :blues:

Can't wait to get my mitts on the new grand master figure as well!!!

I only saw one Epic entry into GD - a detachment of Storm Troopers and their Valkyries.

I did, however, notice the definate lack of a "Fanatic Ball & Chain award" this year, which struck me as mildly odd.

I can appreciate that the Titans arent quite as big as everything else (I kinda like the flyers :) ), but it seems almost an accepted thing that titans are normally modelled slightly small, and arent to scale. If they made the warhounds 30% bigger, they'd be about the size of a SG Reaver! :O  :p  It wouldnt be a disaster, just a little irritating, so I may hold off buying any to see if they make em bigger :;):

The F/W vs. G/W-S/G size thing has always a bit annoying to me ... Find a scale/size and stick to it !!!  :;):

That I did manage to see (and get a picture of).

and I see as part of GW's plan to alienate the SG range... ;-(

Interesting to note nobody has picked up the one interesting fact about the FW Nightwings (shame on you Jimbo, you've normally the eyes of a hawk!). The 'swing wings' are fully functional and sweep from forward to the back position and back again quite smoothly :)
Very typical of Will's attention to detail... and very silly I know. Just thought I'd mention that little nugget as nobody had pointed it out yet.

Oh yes, sorry for being away for so long, was taking a year off to work on 'other projects'. I'll do something about Dropship in the background over the winter months and see about getting things moving on it again before the year is out in a more robust fashion.

Best regards,
Carl Woodrow

The FW Nightwings sound cool.

And even better to hear from you Carl. I am going to pretend I did n't see the bit in your sig about Dropship being scheduled for de-commission. If I don't see then it can't be true, right? ?:D

Either way good to see that you're well. As well as the Epic Lounge and Mercenary Brush, I always enjoyed persuing Dropship.

Cheers

James

The Nightwings look good.

Sadly their is no BFG news from Gamesday, even if the Mars Fleet has been on display in 2004!
