Hi!
This guy is smoking something good....
...so few models for that money?
You have any idea what I could get for that sum in epic minis?
If anyone actually bids that amount, get his name and address...
..I have a bridge in brooklyn I need to dump....

From my perspective I'm not all that surprised at the price - bearing in mind the Back row is probably half the value on their own (7 OOP armorcast vehicles & 3 FW Hierodules all well painted - thats LOT of cash!).
I would be suprised if he gets it for the army as one batch, but if he splits it up, the force is worthy of the price in my eyes, but then I know members here think I'm far too expensive (fair enough - as I've said before - if you can get high quality cheap, then go cheap!).

You have hit it for me. The point is not that the figures plus paint jobs are not ?worth? that. It is who has that kind of cash up front? If he sold it in smaller batches and singles where appropriate, I think he may get more. But just as I have lost every one of your auctions, some have more money then I do.
In the world of Ebay, nothing is over priced that is paid for, and a single penny is too much for an auction that does not get any bids.

I'll be suprised, too, if he gets that much. Yes, it is a really nice looking army, but who has that kind of cash available?

I don't think it's unreasonable for the product, based on market prices. It seems that good, pro paint jobs cost about the same as the minis. By that standard, it would be pretty close to that asking price, not counting the insane number of magnetic weapon conversions.
But I do agree that finding someone willing to drop that kind of coin in one batch is going to be quite a trick.

Oh it is a nice looking army, but $4500 is a lot of money.

agreed.... its a shame some of those models cant be bought anymore because I would paint them myself. Never mind, I am sure he may well have to split that up.
