Man O'War is by far my favourite GW game. While I think it does have a number of faults (template chaos/scale of ships vs their template size/not enough pure sailing fleets) it has that certain something that just makes it special, plus all the advantages listed in the initial post! My favourite race are the Dwarfs, but I really like them all with perhaps the exceptions of the Khorne and Skaven fleets.
I'm currently adding to my various fleets, so if anybody in UK wants to sell any Man O' War stuff for a reasonable price or knows any good UK sources (I know about eBay) just let me know.

Hey there Jackhammer! It is good to meet another fan of the game. ?You are right saying there is just something special about the game. ?I can't put my finger on it either but it makes me warm and fuzzy. ?LOL.
Lots of people like the Dwarves. ?I have the minis, but to be honest I am not really partial to them. ?I have the War Balloons, but man are they fragile.
As far as not having enough 'pure sailing ships', you are probably right, but I think this is done purposely to give each fleet a unique way of moving. ?No two fleets perform the same way and that is quite an achivement given the number of races.
I think I am a big Dark Elf fan, but I like the Brettonians too. ?Lots of firepower. ?I like Chaos simply because of the variety of the ships that can be included in the fleet, but I really think the Nurgle and Tzneetch ones are my favorite. ?The Great Winged Terror just looks great on the board. ?I do like the Skaven too but wish they had weapons that could shoot farther. I hear a lot of slack about the Skaven having ships at all but I don't care. The more races the better. I mean, if the Orcs can have ships, who can't?
The only fleet I don't have are the High Elves, but I wouldn't mind having them. ?I think I just want to be able to play the Dragon Riders more than anything. ?I love the Ork Wyverns too.
I was lucky and finished off what I really wanted to collect from buying some minis from an collection. ?Really good prices, like $15 for the Bretonnian Corsairs in a sealed box - which came with extra masts.  . ?I have a good size Chaos Dwarf fleet, too, which I am glad to have since they are pretty rare. ?I LOVE MAN O' WAR!!!

Tas, I had your post decoded ! Those Old Crow Boats (I saved the site) and the GHQ ships would make one hell of a RAG ! ?I better shut up or I'm going to end up with all those models in my Force structure ! ?
